Starbuzz High Price?

Recommended Posts

Why anyone shells out this money is beyond me. Makes me think of smiley and his prices.

Apart from maybe one or two flavours that might be worth it [White peach? Pumpkin Pie?] then I'd rather stick
to layalina, al fakhir, Nahkla even!!!!!

However they must be selling to someone!

Haha yeah they're selling to one of my friends. Starbuzz is all she buys, and I'll never understand why...

She even admits that Layalina tastes just as good!

considering the only shisha i can find localy is starbuzz ive had no other choice. I just recieved some al waha after 9, california dream, and orange cream from H-S so when I get a chance to try those I will give you an answer. I'm a hookah newb and except for a few trips the hookah bar all Ive smoked is starbuzz so I really want to get out and try more things.

I won't buy Starbuzz. It is way overpriced. There is no way SB White Peach is better than Pharaoh's Exotic Peach. Pharaoh's is about half the price and as good if not better than SB. I doubt SB Irish Cream is more than twice as good as HH Irish Cream. It's priced more than double though.

It's like anything else give it a fancy package and a high price tag and someone will buy it! Not me though.

I prefer Nakhla, Pharaoh's, AF, HH, and Hookah Freak.

Definitely a lot of mixed feelings on Starbuzz. Seems like the $20 is a lot for most though. Due to this we might just implement the 100g jars and see how that does. I really want to thank everyone for the suggestions and comments. Al Fakher seems like a big winner with most as well, we'll have to look into this tobacco as well. Again thank you. I'll keep reading up on the different opinions everyday.

The 100 gram jars are a trick to make you pay more. sad.gif. If you buy 2, you end up paying MORE for 50 grams LESS tobacco. Not good.

I htink you should offer free shipping on Sb orders. smile.gif That would get you lots of business if it is at all applicable.

i think you should do like most companies and sell them at 3 for 50, that is a really good deal and you get a decent mark-up. i personally love sb and will pay for it when i want a new tobacco without having to wait for shipping my local lounge stocks it a 22)

Never smoked SB and haven't felt compelled to considering the higher than average price. I'm happy with AF and Tangiers.

Interesting thing I read yesterday about fMRI scans (bear with me): a group of people was given 5 wine samples, but there were actually only three wines. They were told the wine's price and given a sample while inside the fMRI machine (to record the cerebral reaction). The same wines produced more "pleasure" reactions withing the brain when a higher price tag was announced. Ie., the same wine appeared to taste better at a higher price tag. Basic marketing knowledge but now there is actual proof that it's a physical reaction.
I wonder if that's what is happening with SB...

yeah i've heard that... and can acutally understand how it works... more expensive things, are naturally more appealing. sleep.gif

I consider starbuzz to be a premium tobacco. Though I find $20 a little steep. It can usually be bought for about $50 for three cans. About $16 a piece. Its pretty good but expensive so it isn't my everyday smoke

I've tried a few diff flavors and I prefer fantasia, personally.

I smoke mostly Starbuzz, although every time I go back to AF, I like it just as much. I usually don't pay $20 a can for it though. I will occaisionally, as an impulse buy when I see it in a store. Usually, I get it in the 3/$48, minus a 15% hookahforum discount, which brings it down to $13.60 per. That cost I can justify to myself.
