Starbuzz High Price?

Recommended Posts

I really like starbuzz. I suggest that if you do plan to carry it, sell it in sample packs too. Most people are wary to dish out 20$ for something they havent tried. I think its definately premium.

I smoke Starbuzz if someone else buys it. biggrin.gif

I won't ever buy it for myself, though. Al Waha, Layalina, and Golden AF for me right now. Once I get my own place and I can start using naturals it'll be all about the Tangiers though. All the Starbuzz I've ever had has been right on par with my Layalina (my main buy), so I'll stick with mine.

Personally it's not my taste, I enjoy their white peach and x on the beach (to an extent, before the flavor just gets boring) but other than that, it's really not worth the price tag. I can tell you that regardless of the price, people will pay it by virtue of name alone. There ARE better made tobaccos out there, but hey, we're talking business, if it makes dollars, it makes sense. Edited by Santino

I find a hard time coughing up $15-$24 for Starbuzz when I can get AF for 8 dollars. I like some of the SB flavors though.

Edit: I have a hard time paying a lot for it too since I know how much it sells for wholesale Edited by voski

Well, I bought a tin after hearing how orgasmic the stuff is on this forum. After trying it I have to admit that the flavour is good, but gets soapy after a few session. In short, I don't think I'll be buying any more in the future. Definitely not for $20/tin.
Although if there were 100g packs available, for, say 8$, I would pick a few up just to have a larger variety of flavours in my stash.

you have to think about who we are though...

we have knowledge of other brands as well that we think are better (some of us do at least)

starbuzz sells at $20 a tin, not to me, but to many.

so many sites have it because it it a pretty big seller.

people want the candy flavors that they have.

I don't think Starbuzz is worth $20, personally. I've tried a few flavours... the taste very often dissipates early and/or turns into a mucky, almost perfumy version of the original flavour...

Al Fakher has better flavour, Tangiers has better flavour and better smoke, and both for nearly 1/2 the price. Edited by gaia.plateau

For some of their flavors that nobody else has, I'll splurge once in awhile.

Working on Lemon Tea and Pumpkin Pie still. Next I think I'll give Blue Mist a try. Sounds yummy.

As for whether or not it's worth the $20... I really don't think so.

If I need to buy quite a bit for a party or something, I'll usually go with AF/Layalina/Al Ajamy etc. Edited by oolatec

I bet whole sale price is something like 5 bucks.

About that article, its so true. The restaurant I work at charges a rediculous price for wine. We buy a case for $24 and sell them for $22 a bottle. People still think its good shit because its expensive in the supermarket and on the wine list. So it must be good, right? dumbasses
