Tangiers Making A Washed Shisha?

Recommended Posts

Can't wait for the washed Tangiers, now I can smoke it with people (everyone I smoke with) because they get shitfaced and cough like hell when they smoke normal Tangiers.
The best of both worlds aint a bad thing.

mellow.gif thats the best thing about tangiers is that its unwashed

Nah, the flavour and smoke density are the best parts... high nicotine content just adds to it.

But it's relatively difficult to manage heat for it, and the majority of hookah newbies can't handle it... I'm super pumped for unwashed Tangiers. I'll finally be able to fire up my favourite baccy at parties.

All his tobaccos are washed. Just a little FYI for ya.

This is a quote from myself of myself in another post of Eric. He has also stated its not thoroughly washed like you have with Starbuzz. Meh, to me Tangiers is Tangiers because of how it smokes with its flavor. Thats what makes it better than everything else. It is what makes it unique. LOL I feel like a tool for being emo about it.

QUOTE
Washed:
Tangiers
Romman
Nahkla
Al Waha
Abu Hitham

Partially Washed (Usually washed mixed with a little unwashed...to retain a little nicotine)
Al Basha

Washed Completely
Al Amir
Al Fahker
Layalina
Starbuzz
Havana
Fumari
HookahHookah
...

Some washed brands erroneously claim to have full nicotine, either because computing the number is difficult, they wish to misrepresent their product, or they used to use unwashed foundation and then switched to a washed foundation. (layalina and Starbuzz)
Washing is accomplished commonly by rinsing the tobacco with cold-room temperature water. Less commonly, the maker will use vinegar, as an acid, it neutralizes and dissolves the nicotine very well...but is more expensive (in the US). Nicotine is water soluble, so not that much water rinses it around 99% clean.

A quote from yourself is incontestable empirical evidence.

Why would Eric come out and announce his new "Washed Line" if his regular lines were washed?

Talked to Eric a few weeks ago. Tangiers will be the only company to have an unwashed, washed, and caffeinated tobacco line.

you have to wash it all

we say unwashed because its not wash and washed and washed.

I imagine if you saw starbuzz or al fakher without flavoring or anything, just the tobacco all nicely cut up it would be a lot lighter in color than the unwashed ones.

if you dont wash it at all you will have bugs and shit in it.

There are different levels you could say to washing the tobacco. They all get a rinse to remove dirt and what not. But you can soak the leaves to remove nicotine. Tangiers is washed, but not done so to remove the nicotine levels.

most shisha brands have a lot more water in it than tangiers.. well atleast the normal line

now the washed line is gettin soaked in more water, it takes longer to boil.. so it will probably have more water.. which will make it easier to pack like other tobacco.. you will probably be able to pack it like any other tobacco and it will be a lot more consistent.
