Got one for you, I use crushed ice in the base, fill it almost to the top, leave a little room to get the stem in, NO WATER!!! Ive got a chiller so I fill up the bucket with ice then put water in it to keep the bucket cold. Thickest smoke Ive ever had.

and how was the flavor on this?

Tough to say, I was smoking SB jasmine and it has a light iced teaish taste so that would be kinda tough to judge but Ill probably light up some SB kiwi and Ill get back to you later.

I use tap water. I remember someone saying that what actually cools the smoke down is when it expands in the chamber and in the hose. This may not be true, but I've always had cool smoke with room temperature water.

so u sacrifice flavor for smoke density..

as stated above...

i just use water out of the thing on the door of the fridge...

Ive never tried smoking using regular water only cold water so I dunno if how the flavor is but I will try it. Jasmine has a light taste anyway does it not???

Tried no ice and just plain tap water... Ehhhhh not much difference. I was smoking SB kiwi and thats a pretty good flavor, the smoke wasnt hot, kinda room temp I guess. Smoke was thinner though and I was using a defuiser and a Nammor hose so thats kinda crazy. Ill try another test with some Marlette and if that doesnt yeald better results Im goin back to pakin it full of crushed ice.
