Storing Tangiers?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I keep all my flavours in a place where it all stays cool. Actually i'd use the word Cold cos when i take the flavour out the tub it feels like its just come out the fridge. I'm planning on buying Tangiers and i know i have let it acclimate. I smoke hookah in a room where the room is warm all the time and when i used to keep my flavours in this room they tended to get really warm. Will it make a difference if the tangiers flavour is really cold when i am using it? would it be harsh or anything like that??

Sorry if this is a dumb question, lol but im just not sure!

Thanks

Shit, that means bad things for me then, because I plan to smoke Tangiers outside and I dont really wanna keep it out there. Too damn cold. Any alternative? Seems like that's not really a good solution because it would become subject to such rapid and wide temperature and humidity variations outside.

I use lock & lock containers and mason jars to store all of my tobacco. I had some tangiers in my trunk yesterday (~35*F) and smoked inside (~70*F). Packed a funnel bowl, tossed it in the microwave for about 10sec, foiled it, poked large holes. It was probably the best session I have had. Smoked for about an hour and left it so i'm going back to finish it tonight.

As long as you keep it in room temp in an airtight seal, then it should be fine.

get those boxes like i use and put foil or saran wrap over it and poke some holes and stick it outside.

if it's cold there wont be many bugs or shit like that to get it either.

if you dont want to put it all out there just acclimate enough for a bowl or two.

Cool, thanks, I'll look at getting some of those locking seal containers.

Anybody ever think about vacuum sealing your bags? Seems to me that if there is no air to become humidified, then there will be no way for the tobacco to get humidity shock from a change in the relative humidity...

Thoughts?

Hmmm, I dunno about vacume locking. I just stick it in ziploc bags. I go through so much tobacco anyway its not worth keeping it in tubs.

I think it'll be OK if you store it out there. You can always try it and see if it smokes good storing it inside and smoking it outside... Edited by Sonthert

Should I just acclimate the tobacco I plan to smoke? I'll acclimate it an hour or 2 if I plan to smoke that amount. Or if I keep it all out there, I'll acclimate the whole thing 8 hours.

Acclimate the whole thing.
