Tangiers In Reg Bowl?

arrite dudes/duddets so im plannin on buyin some tangiers after angerly tossing my orange soda... im gonna buy some kashmir peach and smoke it in my mya bowl...is this a good idea?? i dunno i effing hate my phunnel bowl...i tried all the help threads...lets see if this works... any advice? any flavor instead??? any feedback??

i smoked my tangiers outta a standard mya bowl for awhile before i got my phunnel. i think it was Mush who gave this advice years ago

1) use warm water in the base. i never use ice with tangiers.
2) seperate the tangiers real good, i think mush even said he cuts it with a knife. then remix it with all the juices
3) you just gotta learn that proper heat management for tangiers. its different.

i`ve smoked kashmir peach from a mya bowl and it works good, you just have to make sure that you acclimate it long enough first.

Ill buy your phunnell bowl off of you if you hate it so much. But i've smoked tangiers fine in a normal bowl before, but nowwhere near a phunnell, actually i used a fake phunnell.

Guess Hookah serves Tangiers in their regular Egyptian bowls. Might wanna ask John or Brian how to best set it up next time u are there.

i have put tangiers in my phunnel, mya, and egyptian bowl and the best smoke i've had is from using the scalli mod in a medium phunnel. the 2nd best is using the mya bowl. i think that the depth of the mya bowl is good in that it allows you to put a good amount of shisha in there, but not pack it so full. this puts more distance between the tangiers and the coal so that it is not scorched. this really helps, imo. some say it doesn't matter, but i've noticed a difference.

get that mod. enjoy. best thing that ever happend to my hookah besides the nammor.

Tangiers smokes great out of a Mya bowl. Fill it loosely to the top then press it down slightly. Sort of funnel the tobacco so the center is lower than the outside rim. Poke holes and throw a 33mm sized coal on it.

I think they did at one point... I was there last weekend and asked Brian about it... he said it smoked harsh from the phunnels... my guess is they don't acclimate it.

I had the Orange Pop (soda) and Peachy Iced Tea... they were so-so... not as much flavor as I expected, so I suspect that they don't acclimate.

Two bowls of Tangiers sure did drop me on my ass though.

niiice...i guess il have to accimilate them next time than i was under the impression it was because they come in the diifferent containers but il get some orange soda and kashmir peach and accimilate them pop them in that bowl and give it ago...i feel like im wasting too much tobacco in the funnel i dunno thats jus me

Yeah... acclimating should really help... and true, the phunnels do hold a lot of shisha, that's for sure. When you finish your session though, and you are cleaning it out, is all the tobacco burnt up? Sometimes when I'm at home, and too lazy to get a 3rd set of coals, I'll just stop. When I clean up etc., there's still some fresh shisha near the bottom. Makes me want to cry sometimes.

+1 on crying when shisha is still left unburt. Even after a 3.5 hour smoke session on a regular bowl I didnt get all the way through it. GrRrRr

I think the phunnel only offers about a 15-20% improvement in performance...sometimes, in some weather conditions, they're about equal. If you end up overpacking your bowl, phunnel heads perform worse in my opinion. We smoked Tangiers out of standard heads for years before I invented the phunnel head...its an improvement, but a small one, like I said.

1.5 to 2 hours I would say. We go through 2 33mm 3kings coals then flip the tobacco puck and toss another 33mm coal on it. After that its basically done and that is with 3 to 4 people smoking with a 2 hosed Mya QT.
