Alcohol goes in the mouth.

Water in the vase tongue.gif

Seriously though - if you are really tempted todo this I have been known to mix CHEAP red or white wines in the vase that would compliment the tobacco flavour.

I've experimented with 10 or so wines, with varying success, blue curacao, vodka, rum, whiskey, tequila, coconut liqueur, coffee liqueur, creme de menthe, Creme de banane, and flat Guinness.

Any Double Apple + Gamay Noir = sex.

Tangiers Cocoa F-Line + Coffee and Guinness = hookagasm.

Tonic Lemon Mint Mojito + Lime juice and a dash of creme de menthe is a good one too.

Two apples has this anis flavour so i was afraid to put alcohol in the base with that, dont know if the flavours will contrast to much or fight between them, i will try it tho!

If you don't want to waste Gamay, any red wine compliments double apple well.

Edit: Oh, and peach/melon flavours tend to go well with white wines. I'm currently smoking SB White Peach with a South African Cab Blanc. Edited by gaia.plateau

Gotta try it, i dont know if this is like cooking but using cheap stuff will give you cheap taste so if i go for something in the base, i'd go for the best haha

What proportions do you use for wines? 100% wine or put some water in it?

Sort of, but not to the same degree. I notice a difference between $25 Cab and $8 Cab, but not a big one. I don't recommend busting out $120 to get a good Bordeaux, for example tongue.gif

I usually dilute at a ratio of 2:3 wine:water, but if I'm using my Bambino I'll go 100% wine for a great kick. You can really, really taste it if you do straight wine.

Is absinthe even legal? I heard that it was legalized (in the US, or at least CA or something), but I haven't seen any around. In any case, with strong tasting liquor you can just mix in a few shots with the water to get the flavor. I have some nice Cosmopolitan flavor tobacco and I usually mix in a few shots with the water and it tastes great. I have mixed other drinks with varying success.

I'm not sure about the states, but "real" absinthe, which is to say the hallucinogenic variety which is made with wormwood, is illegal to sell in Canada, but not to possess and drink. You can get the non-hallucinogenic variety though.

A variety using "Southern Wormwood" (instead of the banned botanical wormwood), which has different characteristics apparently, is legal in the U.S., or at least NY State specifically. I buy a bottle here and there from a local liquor store...they have a few different brands, one I know is from Brazil, there's also a few from Europe. The brand I have now is Absente, which, according to it's box, was the first legal Absinthe available in the U.S. since 1912. It came with an absinthe spoon which was cool too. cool.gif

Agreed. I've had authentic absinthe, as well as the U.S. alternative, and have yet to feel any type of hallucination. Gets ya drunk though. pirate.png

My understanding is that one must imbibe it for several days to get the hallucinogenic effect.

Several days straight? I wish I could be that dedicated to my alcoholism... pirate.png
