More often than not, I'll have a cold beer or two with a good session, but they have to be stronger tasting shishas. I love beer and can put them away without feeling it, but if the taste is wrong, it just kills both. I had a good decoction tea last night that my girlfriend made. We had it with some Al Fakher Jasmin. That was a sublime smoke session. The tea complemented the flavor of the jasmin and vice-versa. Letting a good cloud of smoke freshened my mouth for the tea and back and forth.

Also, another good drink to have on hand for a good hookah session is Zen Green Tea Liquor with ginger ale or ice-cold water. Tastes like sweet green tea and goes well with orange or mint shishas.

Most people i know advise against drinking alcohol while smoking shisa. Also against using alcohol in your base by the way.

For me it depends on what im smoking. On of my best experiences was smoking Al Nakhla cherry flavour with some really sweet vanilla tea. Ice tea and sweet fruit juice is good too. Sour juice not so much.

Green Tea is good. I usually have a glass of water or Koolaid though.
