TheAnt06
Since coming here I've seen the terms unwashed and washed tobacco thrown around. Can someone explain what these terms mean?
zeppyrkr
washed means they wash it, washing it takes out a large percent of the nicotine many of the shisha brands are washedunwashed is the opposite, much more nicotine.
Elky
QUOTE (TheAnt06 @ Feb 1 2008, 12:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Since coming here I've seen the terms unwashed and washed tobacco thrown around. Can someone explain what these terms mean? Some companies wash their tobacco vigorusly before the rest of the process in order to reduce the nicc. content. washed will usualy show up as .05% nic. where unwashed will be .5%. unwashed gives a bigger buzz but may make some people a bit woozy when they are new to smoking. TheAnt06
I've heard the term acclimating the tobacco used here, what's meant by that as well?
zeppyrkr
tangiers must be left out for a few hours before use.
addicted2shisha
Some tobacco requires acclimatising such as tangiers.... I take the tobacco and spread it a little over foil and leave it out for a few hours. Time varies from person to person tobacco to tobacco. It allows the tobacco to acclimatise to the surroundings you will smoke your shisha in. So if you tend to smoke your shisha outdoors then you should not acclimatise indoors. Tangiers tastes much better after acclimatising but not too sure about AF. Bear in mind after acclimatising i seal the tobacco in an airtight container and always mix before making a bowl!
