sagrr
So i decided to buy a hookah, I set it up and it burned my throat. Then I realized there was no pipe that went from the base of the shaft into the water, and the water wasnt bubbling. I feel like i got ripped off overall. I have a picture of the parts that I bought for $

AKammenzind
Yeah, on the bottom of that stem there should be another what... 6"-8" pipe that reaches into the water. Depending on where you bought it from it's probably just a mishap, mistakes do happen when you're shipping stuff out... unless you bought it in person, then I'd burn the place down or something because noone should possibly screw up that bad in person That's an overdramatization of course, don't burn the place down. But still... I'd pay them a visit and ask them to correct it.
shisha fan
they forgot to inlcude the downstem. once you screw that on it will work.
sagrr
So I was right? Is this a rip off in general or just because the pipe that goes into the water is missing? Thanks for the quick replies guys,..
oolatec
Double check the box it was shipped in. Maybe you just didn't see the downstem. I remember another member here awhile back that didn't have his hookah fully assembled, and got the same results you did... he looked through the box again and found the downstem. If it's not there, call up the place you ordered from... which was who, by the way? MechAnt
There should be an etching on the heart of the stem that should say MYA. Go back to the shop and tell them that the downstem is missing. Or rather, return it, buy the exact one online and save nearly $60. JillyIsJustKidding
I suggest you go back down there and tell them they missed out the downstem. He probably forgot to assemble it when he had in on display

r1v3th3ad
If he won't refund it or give you a downstem, you could always order one, I couldn't imagine them being expensive.
SafeSearchOff
GET HIM to give you a downstem. dont ask. personally i wouldnt get a refund, i mean its a pretty nice looking hookah. yeah its a tad expensive, but if you order the staff online, gotta pay shipping.personally i dont like the "true" staff stem too
Canon
also have him fix your empty purge valve/hose port if you look theres a hole. and yes you did get ripped off to be blunt. you coiuld have gotten 2-3 good hookahs for that price online.i really hope this doesnt defer you from the hookah community. gr!m
Ouch that is a price gouge. Being a hookah newby myself (started in december) I would stay away from the stores. They tend to jack up the prices. My local shop has great prices on Shisha but their MYA hoses are $28 and cheap Hookahs online cost $100+ there.
