mackiain
Where are the leaks?
manic007
Depends on how minor. I take it you've tried the whole putting your hand on top of the stem to block the shaft and then sucking through the hose thing. Well I say you might experience a decrease in satisfaction if say you could fill your lungs with air before you asphyxiate But on a serious note its a sliding scale, some people dont mind and some really want "perfection". I'd say if you're happy with your smoking experience, its ok. Otherwise you may want to think about sending it back (or fill the holes with some sort of food safe putty, stuff)
EvansLight
Really small leaks wont hurt anything, but you start getting bigger you will start noticing both loss of smoke flavor and thickness of clouds. Leaks mean that extra air is entering the hookah when you pull on it and that means that the smoke you get from the bowl is getting diluted. sss8789
there were multiple spots where the stem screwed together and I fixed those but the only one I can't seal up is the stem the downstream I have Teflon tape on there now which almost fixed the problem so maybe I'll buy some thread sealer.
