Ghaleon
I used to order my stuff from hookah-shisha, but on account of my recent experience wiht them (previous post) i'm thinking about changing. Any suggestions for online vendors? Thanks.
Steviethepope
I dont know why you would have a problem with hookah-shisha (will go to read your other post) but I have ordered from them 4 times now and am very impressed. But I really like Fumari and thehookah.com alsoI dont like hookahhookah AT ALL so I say dont order from them.
jmexx
I've had problems with thehookah.com but southsmoke.com has fantastic service.Jon
Steviethepope
What are your problems with thehookah.com jmexx? I only ordered from them once but it was a good order. Fast service. Anyhoo - I am going to order some of the square japanese coals from southsmoke so we shall see.
the hookah hitman
maybe your problems with thehookah.com haveto do with your being in Canada. I have ordered with good results.
Steviethepope
Ok - well I have to disagree on your reasoning for having a problem with them. Places run out of supplies or stop carrying things - SO WHAT. If one grocery store runs out of an item you might temporarily go to another store to pick up what you need but I am sure you would continue to shop at that grocery store. Your reasoning for having a problem with hookah-shisha is BS imho. The vase broke either because of bad handling by you or bad manufacturing (NOT LIKELY).. You are blaming something of your own fault (most likely) on hookah-shisha and they have no control over that and additonally, while hookah-shisha does have a lot of unique stuff, you are acting (or atleast coming across like) they make it al them selves which I doubt. ioannisds
While I agree hookah-shisha.com has fantastic service, the quality of their product is not anywhere as nice as what I have purchased from Social Smoke, and they have fantastic customer service as well. Not knocking hookah-shisha at all, but after ordering from Social Smoke and them, I realized how different the product of two different vendors can be (even though they all sell Egyptian/Syrian/Chinese hookahs). jmexx
To be honest, Steve, I think they hate Canadians. It was horrible service, it took me forever to process the order since we're not ALLOWED to order through the online process, in addition they blamed the delay on customs, whom I spoke to and said they had my product for no more then a day. All this led to me having a disgusting, bitter taste on my toungue, yuck... I know what can cure that, some Al Amir banana split... MMMM! I definately should do some Al Amir reviews, maybe when I get my new batch.Jon
jmexx
Oh and hookah-shisha.com has awesome service too. Just that damn thehookah.com, so what if I'm Canadian, we're people too! Everyone else gave me great service.Jon
mushrat
Just to throw my 2 cents into the mix... I had a problem with SOUTHsmoke, they have a habit of substituting without checking first. Ive had great experiences with Socialsmoke, hookahcompany, and hookah-shisha. Hope that helped. Besides, its your money, if you don't like a place, don't send them your money, the reason why is secondary really.
Ghaleon
Granted, it was my fault that the vase broke...I packed it into my car too tightly and it didn't make the drive. But nonetheless, It strikes me as less than stellar costumer service to leave a consumer hanging like that after only a year. If the hookah were made 10 years ago, I could understand, but I bought this last april... He couldn't even give me the dimensions of the old vase; he couldn't tell me why exactly their new ones would not work with the olds ones; and he couldn't point me in the right direction for finding one that would work. I talked to this guy for about 20 minutes and he gave me NOTHING. I still can't see myself ordering anything but golden coals from them again. What would make me want to spend 120 bucks on a product that can't be serviced by the manufacturer after only a year?
mushrat
I understand..I had a cell phone that was out of stock and obsolete 3 months after I bought it. They had to give me an upgrade replacement because they just didn't carry that modle anymore. Retailers have to keep the stock fresh, new, and different to keep people coming back. If nothing ever changes, people stop coming back. Good business model...bad for you with last years model. Lesson to be learned for everyone. KISS (keep it Simple Stupid) My next hookah will be built on a standard large vase. Those will always be around. Sorry for your troubles though... Ghaleon
Yeah that's a good call. I pretty much went for the, latest, biggest, sexiest hookah they had. I guess that's what I get, my next hookah will be back to the basics.
Ghaleon
phew...finally got all this worked out... hookahcompany.com actually had me send my hookah in so that they could find a vase that fit it. This at no extra charge and for a product that I did not even buy from them in the first place. He said they only had one left in stock so I apparently lucked out. Very friendly and helpful customer service. deffinitely ordering from them again.

tjt486
Hookah-shisha sent me rose instead of strawberry flavor and would not reply to my emails. Probably the only company ive ordered from sofar that I dont care to order from again. I definately prefer socialsmoke, southsmoke and hookahhub over them thusfar. mushrat
SOUTHSMOKE? we talking about the same southsmoke that is well known for NOT sending you what you ordered?? Now things may have changed since Feb. or March, but they sent me this crappy carry bag, nothing like the one pictured on their site, because they said they were too BUSY to change the picture/description. Quite a few people have noted that Southsmoke will often send you something other than what you ordered or what is shown. But hey, if you have had luck with them LB... $.
