UnSaniTiZ
hey guys, whatsup? I'm looking to buy a 6 hose hookah with an autoseal system. Assuming money is not too much of an issue, where could I go to find one? I care a lot about the quality of the hookah, and I'd like it to rotate, but I have thus far been unable to find an 6 hose autoseal rotating hookah. Please, let me know where I can get a high quality hookah. -UnSaniTiZ
yashman19
I can't exactly tell you what site will have a 6hose rotator with autoseal, but I recomend just looking through the pages a bit and check out all the different online sites mentioned. I also am not to fond of the idea of buying a 6hose rotator...whats the point having 6 hoses if the thing rotates..Don't you think that would get awkward for you to be smoking it, then pass your hose only to get another hose? Why not just get either a multihose or a 2 hose rotator at the max. It will save you some money. Also with 6 people puffing away at one bowl, you had better buy the Party Bowl mentioned a few times. If you use anything smaller, be prepared to have to change that thing every 15 minutes..
mushrat
try www.hookahook.com they had some serious machines over there and while they ship out of beruit, they got me mine in good time and in good shape. Plus their stuff just LOOKS nice. Mine isn't availible anymore but i think there are pictures here in the forum and in the picture area. Ah well, i just looked and no 6 hose, but some new, very FINE looking machines.
UnSaniTiZ
rotating is optional, right now I have a 2 hose rotator and it's nice. I just want it to rotate so it would get knocked over as easily. Maybe that's a mistake though... Party bowl I could get.
UnSaniTiZ
additionally; that site hookahook does have some nice nice ones that I wouldn't mind having. I don't see any with autoseal though, which really IS a must. I don't always smoke with the same people, so when I smoke I usually get people that don't know to cover the tip. mushrat
They are autoseals. They don't say it, somthing i have mentioned to them in the past. check the sockets where the hoses go in the pictures, if the are the small, low, screw in looking type, its autoseal. Mine didn't list it as a feature, but had autoseal none the less. If you have questions, e-mail them to make sure.
mushrat
I see they are also carrying some multi hose hookals with the longer, curved, smooth sockets. I'm willing to bet those are Non-autosealing. Look for the small low sockets.
Molson
agreed a 6 hose rotator to me seams pointless. however if you do have your heart set on it then go for it and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. but if you are considering other peoples oppinions (hehe) the i suggest getting a 3 hose non rotating (auto seal aain if you have your heart set on it). and i'll explain why thats what i would choose. a 3 hose seams very practical for even 6 people smoking, as you just have to share with one person and its not like your gonna take a hit every breath. so take your hits and lay it between the person your sharing with (simple enough eh), the rotating seams like to much money especially if your just gonna share with the guy beside you...won't really do much with 3 hoses as each hose is nearly 6' in length (atleased mine is) so just imagine the circumfrence you can cover with 3 hoses that length. and autoseal...some people say get it, some people say its a waste...if it was me and i found a good enough deal id go with the auto seal it really does just seam more practical if your eating and need 2 hands, playing cards, or if you even need to get up you don't need someone plugging your hose for you... thats my oppinion but once again if you want a 6 hose rotator then hey man go for it. UnSaniTiZ
I will check hookahook; i am likely to buy a 4 hose nonrotating autoseal from them; they have some that appeal to me. Thanks guys; 6 hoses would be ideal because at times I have had probably 12 people crowding around my one hookah, but 4 would work; and 2 has worked in the past. I like to hog though, so the more hoses the better
jmexx
Don't make the mistake of getting 6 hosed hookah. I've had the problem of having too many people over, this is why I have four hookahs. I have one two hosed, one rotator and two egyptian hookahs. It's more systematic, it's better in the sense that you can have different flavours going at the same time and just go around, plus it's a little more fun having people going to different flavours talking with different people. It's like a hookah swap party! YAY.You should think about the 6 hose hookah...max two 3 hosed hookahs.Just my 2 cents,Jon
UnSaniTiZ
jmexx: I would agree, but unfortunately I'm living in a college dorm right now so I can only smoke outside. Usually I just go out with a few people to smoke and passers by come up and hang out for a while. It's not really practical for me to be running hookah parties outside (unless I'm charging people), and I'ms ure that requires a whole set of legal responsibilites, which (until next year) I'm not ready to assume. 6 hoses might be too many, though. I would be willing to take it down to four. I have a two hose rotator now, and it works great (except that it's not all that great of a hookah). I purchased it from hookah-shisha.com, and it's not doing too well. The coal tongs were bent and are awkward to use, the bowl broke when I was putting it on, the strap on the bag came off and the zip doesn't seal very well, many of the hookah boxes were leaking moisture (IE: wet boxes, I don't know if that's normal though. The coloring (red paint) on the glass base comes off very easily, the snap on ash catcher doesn't "snap-on" straight, the base came with a dent, and the seal between the bowl and the stem is hard to orient correctly (for me, anyway). I think that's it. Are the hookahs sold by hookahook.com very high quality? -UnSaniTiZ
mushrat
Rotators, while cool, are not SIMPLE (kiss) More moving part and seals, more that can go wrong. The hookah i got from Hookahook (actually, my wife bought it for me as a suprised valentines gift, never even smoked one before that) was of EXCELLENT quality. The shaft is in 4 or 5 pieces and screwed together tightly. The painting on the Vase is VERY nice, very thick, I've traveled with it extensively and no chipping or marring. I unpacked it, put it together and it has been trouble free ever since. The bowl it came with is very deep and well made. It didn't come with extras, no free starter package, but if you already have everything you need really it looks like, or can orger them from them. And lets face it, if they are giving you 50 bucks worth of screens, covers, charcaol, tobacco, etc..its coming out of the price/value of your hookah. TANSTAAFL. I'll see if I can find the pictures of mine.
mushrat
In the pictures area..its labled "blue bowl" if you scroll down this topic you'll see the raven in action. UnSaniTiZ
nice Os. I'm still not sure whether I want the rotator, but I think the next one won't be. Here is the one Im looking at: http://www.hookahook.com/v1/prodView.asp?i...?idproduct=1382 Let me know if anybody here has/has tried it. mushrat
Heh... We saw that one on ebay once... many of us po po'd it becaus eit was like 38 bucks from a seller none of us recognised. Now i realize the picture on the ebay was the same one from hookahook...they must have been trying to move some of them. That does have the auto-seal type sockets. If they sell it, I have to reconsider my opinion and say it looks kinda silly, but probably a good working machine.
jmexx
Ha, I remember that one! It DID look silly didn't it :-P.Looks pretty good, now. I say give it a shot! Hookahook looks like a good company and that they make good products ;-)Good luck!Jon
UnSaniTiZ
more questions for you guys: Are the hoses on the gwhenda http://www.hookahook.com/v1/prodView.asp?i...?idproduct=1382 washable? I can't tell, if you don't know I'll send hookahook another email. Also, where can I get a good case for that hookah? Hookahook said that their briefcase wouldn't be able to fit it, and I would absolutely need a case. From my experiences with my last case, I know definitely that I want a nice case. -UnSaniTiZ
UnSaniTiZ
the fayrouz is clearly nice... How do you think it would compare to the ghenwa?
