I just recieved my order from MNH. Their packaging is well done, nothing leaked or broke, and the scalli mod even LOOKS great. I'm very impressed with them, and most likely will be doing business with them in the future. At least, I will when H-S doesn't have what I want since they're closer.

I must say, though, the icing on the cake is the free 50g of Fantasia Pink Lemonade they sent with my order. It smells orgasmic... wub.gif

If I have the opportunity, I shall be smoking it tonight.

you sure the fantasia wasnt from neal being it is the FOTM

Unless Neal now owns MNH, or MNH now owns the Devil's Playground, yeah I'm sure. I placed my order from MNH and it came from them haha.

I just got done smoking a bowl, and it was amazing. Medium phunnel with scalli mod and 3kings coals. I got a good two and a half hours out of it, and could have gone for another half hour or so but I needed to get back to my place. It has a great flavor, just like drinking pink lemonade.

The Pink Lemonade smells excellent. The taste was not as good as the smell, but is was a very enjoyable smoke. I used a regular clay head with my KM Red Pear.

I have a question regarding packing a Phunnel Bowl of non Tangiers. I just can not seem to get a good smoke with my Phunnel with other Tobaccos besides Tangiers. Any pointers for me? Do you really need a mod for other tobacco?

Last night was my first time with a mod. I usually get thick smoke with my phunnel even without it, but I tend to have to put more coals on. I'm not really sure what you could be doing that would result in light smoke. Even with the extra coals on mine I still get great flavor and the bowl still lasts for 2+ hours.

The mod didn't really affect the smoke quality for me; it just made the ma'assel heat more evenly instead of just baking the top half. I do like it for the fact that it lets you pack less in the bowl but still get long sessions though.

OK I just packed a Phunnel of the Fantasia Pink Lemonade, and I kept the holes very small like JD posted in another thread, and made 4 rings and a little hole in the middle. I kept the tobacco the same height of the middle hole and packed in just slightly. I am using 3 1/4 pcs of exotica and a wind cover. Now I am getting some good smoke.

Edit 1: Dang it all. I almost burnt my tobacco. I think I saved it.

Edit 2: I dropped my coals a few times to break them up and now I have 4 smaller pcs on and no cover.

Edit 3: I had to put the windcover on and take it off again. Is this normal? I feel like a dumb ass, because I can get Tangiers to smoke like a dream out of a Phunnel. I guess, just more practice.

Edit 4: I burnt the shit out of the tobacco. That really sucked bad. And the Raven said....Never More.

Hmm. I'm not sure what to tell you, snoop. JD packs it differently than I do, also.

Before I got my mod, I packed it a little loose inside the phunnel. I used a single layer of foil and poked two or three (depending on how I felt that day) rings of holes around the center with a toothpick, so they were medium size holes. I started the bowl off with two 3Kings 33mm which I moved around quite a bit for the first half hour to get the whole bowl cooking. After that I broke up another 33mm in half and used it in conjunction with the two already lit in JD's square pattern. I don't use a wind cover and I don't have any problems with needing more heat.

Now that I have the mod, I do everything the same except that I pack the ma'assel a little more firmly.
