Hiding A Hookah

i dont know if this is true for anyone else here but my parents dont aproove of me smoking. So ive figgured out a perfect way of hiding the hookah while still bieng able to talk about it in front of them. I refer to the actual hookah as an xbox, the tobacco is "games", and the caols are "controllers". Works pretty well if you ask me, i can sitt there with friends talking about hookah right in front of my oarents and they dont even realize it, lol. Only problem is its confusing cause sometimes im talking about hookah and sometimes about and actual xbox, and sometimes both. anyone else have any other ideas?

well i live at home, parents dont know about it but im not at home 80% of the time lol so i dont really have this problem, but my biggest suggestion would be to not talk about it near them.

My parents dont like it but I wouldn't hide it. I just dont do it around them, so they dont get upset. And like zepp I dont live at home 9 months of the year.

If you're still sitting around in your parents house talking "xbox" in front of them, chances are you arent legal age to smoke anyway.

I don't live at home, but I bought my hookah over Christmas break while I was home. I had already told my mom about my desire to purchase one just to prep her for when I did buy it. When I first got it she was not approving of it at all, but now that I've had it for a while she's come to accept it. She still doesn't like that I smoke, though.

Meh, I guess I'm lucky to have parents willing to accept something as long as they hear about it from me. XD

Yeah, I don't live at home either, but sometimes I bring my hookah home if I am visiting. My mom really didn't understand it, therefore like it, so I kinda badgered her into trying it, and she actually enjoyed it. Now, when I bring it home, she'll take a few pulls, haha.

After I turned 18 I still hid my hookah. Then one day my mom saw it and she said that's a good one!. Now I dont care.

But before when I wanted to keep it safe and secret I reffered to it as a "Timmy Cake Machine" and the Coals as "Timmy Cakes" and the Shisha as "Put Ins"

It was kind of a joke, but it did work for my friend

Dont hide it, that's not a good way to be able to do it. Once you're caught, their trust in you is busted. You have to be an adult about it (if you are of legal age). If you are not of legal age, forget it, wait till you turn 18 at the earliest. Offer them rent in return for being able to smoke outside. I pay my parents rent and therefore I can do pretty much whatever I want aside from destroying anything. A lot changes between teen years and 20. I found that I grew up more in the years from 18 to 21 than I had in all 17 years before that. BUT, each person does it differently. I'd personally talk to them about it, get a feel for how they feel. IF you're upfront, they'll be more likely to accept it.

first off, i love xbox, and im defiantly of age.. but ive found that eventually your parents will find out.. its not exactly like hiding a pack of cigs. just dont lie about it if they ask you. Explain it to them calmly.

I don't live at home, have not for a few years now. The parents don't know I smoke just because I never bothered to tell them and/or talk about it around them. They really don't approve of smoking but even if they found out I did they wouldn't mind. Just for the fact that I'm on my own now I can do whatever, and as long as I don't try to be an ass and hide it they are OK with it.

Shoot, I have all 8 of my hookahs out at my parents house. I started smoking when I was living with this terrible roommate, and I brought them home and they know that I do it in my room, or take it outside on nice days.
