erufiku
So I finally got to cleaning my MYA hose. It's the one that comes with the Bambino, supposedly washable.Just used hot-ish water and banged the hose on the wall, like ten times. To cut the long story short, rust-colored water came out, along with small black particles. So I hung it out to dry, and while I'm waiting for that I began wondering if it's okay to smoke from that hose again? Or was is it now officially rusted and beyond any hope? Hope not, but it's no biggie - I'll just head on down to a home store and make one myself if I can't use it any more. austinthecity
the MYA "washable" hoses aren't really washable. there have been pics showing rust on most of those..

erufiku
NoPeace: Yes... Ugh, sucks about the MYA "Washable" hoses being single-use :/
PhishPhood
It got good reviews on HS but it looks a bit thin. If you want a truely washable hose get the nammor or razan. Best pull I've had on a hose and 100% washable.Edit: Thin as in the tube, not the walls of the hose. Just to be clear.
MechAnt
To properly wash a MYA hose, you wash it out and everything then blow it dry with canned air or an air compressor, even just blowing will help a little and then HANG it up to dry. Of you immediately roll it up, there will be residual moisture that'll cause rusting.
PhishPhood
Isnt that canned air a ton of chemicals? I dont know if I would spray that into something that I'm gonna pull into my lungs
MechAnt
Well, its up to you Air compressor is the best way to go, but in a cinch, blowing through it and hanging it up to dry SHOULD suffice. Your mileage will vary
mackiain
I used to get some black chunks coming out of my old hose, I just made a seal with a vaccum attatchment onto the hose and it seemed to suck all the garbage out of the hose. Then again my vaccum is quite high powered.
staygone
I had this go on for about a year, gave it away and the person who recieved it still uses it.Just gotta blow through it and hang it up when you're done washing it, -QM
