New site under construction.

Recommended Posts

I found a site that just recently opened this past month.  Their
offerings are pretty slim, but I ordered some tobacco from them and
they shipped it pretty promptly.  I'm in socal and it took only a
few days.  I like the site's design.  Its easy on the eyes,
especially after having to order from hookah-shisha.com....

I THINK i remember the West Coast hookah guys from ebay. Had average hookahs, slighly low prices, and charged $30 bucks for domestic shipping!
Looks like shipping has come down a might since then....
Should be interesting to see their stock.

Sorry but westcoast hookahs is selling the worst chinese hookahs made.  The anodized aluminum neon colored hookahs are by a company called Princess hookahs and they are godawful.  THe stems are made of a coke can material and the hoses have hollow metal coke can handles.  The wedsite looks nice, but they chose some really, really bad hookahs.  Either go Epyptian, or stick with the MYA SARAY dudes!

I was looking at Westcoast's hookahs..you notice their 2 hose hookahs only come with ONE hose? And with the odd looking plug in hoses, I'm not sure you could even use a standard hose on them.
They are flashy though, I'll bet they sell a lot of em for the colors alone.

Suit yourself, I saw these hookahs at the last trade show.  They are very flimsy and when you see them in person, you will see just how very cheap they look.  I hate to get so negative, but it is important that people know about the inferior quality hookahs produced by the Chinese race to the bottom.  Bottom like in China is how to produce the cheapest product possible, and this is the result.  I might just upload some video footage of me examining these hookahs in person.  With that said, Mya Saray is an exception to the chinese hookah problem, high quality stems and hoses, and their bowl are pretty good too, but they retain too much heat, and break too easily.

Hitman...I'm not sure he actually meant from THEM. I think he already has one in mind from some other comapny. He was just interested in whatever ELSE they might carry.
I could be wrong mind you, but bubble seems a bit too savy to buy one of those POS's.

Hitman, I understand your feelings too. As soon as I saw the cool looking colors, I could just tell they would be coke-can cheap.
Mush, I love it when you call me savy.
Feeling all savy and stuff,
MR Bubble

Just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know that WestCoastHookahs.com is up and operational (finally). The product selection is still a little bare and, in listening to our customers and reading a few of the comments here, we have ordered an all-new line of hookahs and such. So, we are blowing out what we have left to make room for other stuff. So, if you are looking for some decent 2nd or 3rd hookahs, we've lowered our pricing. Also, we should have shisha online within a week or so. We carry Havana brand shisha, which is what we use in our cafe. It's not molasses-based and keeps very, very well (not that you guys are going to keep it laying around for too long). :)In any case, if you have any product suggestions, let us know. We're here to listen to customers (an oddity in the industry, we know). We have been focusing on wholesale business and finally got tired of our site looking like crap. Thanks,ChrisHookah Cartel

Welcome!
Good to see a company that actually listens and takes what it hears to heart!
Havana isn't molasses based? I've tried 2 honey based ma'asells that were very very smooth, though the Havana's have met with mixed reviews (what hasn't though?)
I Know i'll be dropping in and checking out the new site and selection. Keep us posted...gently (if you know what i mean.)

Heh, I definitely understand about keeping our involvement purely casual ... I deplore companies that use forums to push their own agendas. On the other hand, I love companies that use forums to listen to and learn from their customers. That being said, a lot of the higher-grade, premium shishas are moving to a straight sugar/glycerin mix. In our own production, we've found it much easier to produce a more consistent product on exact measurements and ingredients that don't vary too much from batch to batch. We had experimented with molasses and honey and, while providing a decent base, they tend to produce a shisha that is either hot or not.Havana is not molasses- or honey-based and that's immediately apparent when you open a package of it. It's got great consistency and doesn't clump up like other shishas. That being said, we have a fairly substantial shipment arriving soon and we would love to offer forum readers with an opportunity to give it a try for little to nil. We'll keep you posted on this one.-Chris
