Dunkel!
Al Fahker is as good a newbie brand as you'll find for the money. Flavors that I really like are Cinnamon, Strawberry, Golden Bahraini Apple (apple flavor with slight anise flavor), and Golden Esk. Apple.
shisha fan
layalina is good too (and cheap).i can also recommend pharaohs, fantasia and nakhkla.
The Devils Playground
I will say Afzal Mintos, Af Fauker Watermelon is great Hookah Hookah is a good beginner brand lots of candy flavors. Hell alwahas not bad. avoid Fantasia, Star buzz and Tonic as well as tangiers as a newbie. All good brands but more messy then you need starting out. Get a month or 2 under your belt before hitting those brands my man.

boulderkid303
Um no starbuzz is easy to use, and is washed. Same goes for fumari, fantasia, etc. It smokes very easily.QUOTE (The Devils Playground @ Feb 12 2008, 05:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I will say Afzal Mintos, Af Fauker Watermelon is great Hookah Hookah is a good beginner brand lots of candy flavors. Plain Old Me
Starbuzz is a great shisha for newbies because it smokes a lot with little effort. It does tend to lose flavor before some shishas sometimes though. It is also expensive, as is Tonic. The nicotine content is actually really low though, as it is washed. The flavor is also fairly intense. Slightly sticky and hard to handle though. I used Al-Amir mostly until I made Starbuzz my main smoke. However, I think that I will recommend Sultan for a newbie. IME, it is easy to handle and set up, does not require much tending to, has good flavor, lasts long, and is cheap. I actually like the stuff, but its kinda hard to get around where I am. Nikon1323
have to agree with shisha fan....layalina is were its at...its cheap has great flavor and its great for first time because the buzz isnt to strong unless you get rose or a few other flavors.....i would go with mint, double apple, and if you want cola and vanilla (mix great tastes like vanilla coke...awesome with flat coke in the base)

gaia.plateau
Al Fakher is the best brand to begin with. Use Lock & Lock containers for storage.

SoulFireX97
For a newby I agree with a few others that Layalina is best. Its as wet, thick, and flavorful as starbuzz, but much cheaper, harder to burn, and hold its flavor MUCH longer. A great starter flavor is Passionfruit, that flavor is strong, but sweet, and very aromatic. In fact, I got me friend to smoke for the first time of his life last night with Layalina Passionfruit, and he loved it.Other Layalina newby flavors are Watermelon, and Mint.
