It really is too bad that the world cant be swayed with bombs. If it could, the US would be the love of every nation on earth. In order to foster good will in the world, you have to give them something other than warnings and words. You have to unfortunately give them money. Where did you find this figure? I googled all different combos of Obama and U.N. and didnt find a single reference to giving them .7% of the GDP.

If you want the of the text of the millennium prop, go have a look at the UN webapge, it's only 1750 pages of taking rights away from us, and giving to them... but they have a nice low-information PDF all ready to whitewash the whole debacle.

Compare Obama to JFK... what a laugh, JFK stood down the USSR, and set our space program in motion. Obama wants to add a tax increase to every American to fund the rest of the world.

While you are at it, go have a look at his voting record, and get to know what he REALLY stands for... Not the dribble you hear, but what he actually does do. Although, since he only showed up fro about 40% of the votes, one can assume he just didn't give a damn about all those "NV"'s. What is worse than someone that can't take a stand?

Did you hear Obama's fiscal plan today? Lets hear all the Obama freaks rationalize trying to finance a budget of $197,000,000,000.00/Year for his spending increases. And you thought Bush was bad, looks the miser next to this guy. He wants to partially fund it by auctioning carbon credits???????? What the hell is that about? Better move close to work/school, driving is going to get pricey! Industry is going to flee the shores like rats off a burning ship.

In congress Obama had 321.7B in solo earmarks, and 400B in joint... You can tell allot about a congressman by his "private" use of our money.

In some ways Hillary is more conservative than McCain. I think there were allot of us that would have taken HC over McCain, or at least considered it. But, Obama's spending plans are sure to send every middle of the road sort running and screaming for McCain.

Obama is the same old hooptie-wagon Washington has been giving us a ride in all along... It's just got a new paint job... but that does seem to be enough to baffle the average uninformed voter. Can you afford your "change"???? It's gonna cost you a quarter trillion dollars a year... because like always, it's the middle class that is going to get hosed... again.

First off, it aint the UN taking rights from us the last time I checked. So far, all I've heard about from anyone worth listening to is the fact that Bush is basically "trimming down" the constitution into manageable sized pieces, eating it, and shitting it. In a nation where it's ok to impose restrictions on the constitution, how is the UN any threat?

JFK wanted to end the war in Vietnam and was assassinated before that desire could be met. Ehem, Linden Johnson. Now Obama wants to end the war in Iraq. Wow, Iraq and Vietnam look closer and closer and closer every damn day. Both are extraordinary orators. Both are considered trail blazers.

I ask you sir, what is wrong with improving the living conditions for other human beings on earth? Oh yea, we should just piss on them and have them get hydrated from our piss. They can have the left overs from my peanut butter jar when all the peanut butter has been scraped out and only small swaths of it remain. And it's GNP, not GDP. GNP can include imports or exports, shit we dont even use, anything. We probably trash at least 1% of any GNP we produce or import. Food rots. Products sit in stores and warehouses. We could make huge steps toward reducing global poverty if we donated half the food we dont eat, products we dont use, etc. Most of that amount that goes toward poverty relief isnt measured in money, it's measured in value of product and transportation.

There's McCain's voting record. I see a hell of a lot of NVs on McCain's record. I still defer to you to make your point in that regard. Look at any long standing senator's voting record, you will see the same thing 9/10 times.

The amount of spending in national budgets increases every year. This wasnt any different during Reagan's era.

All that is different with liberals and conservatives is that conservatives spend more on the military and liberals spend more on people problems and humanities issues (education, poverty, environment, etc etc).

None of those earmarks seem to be out of the ordinary. A lot of them very humanistic and considerate of people's problems, especially in the inner cities.

Do you just not want people's lives made easier at all? Do you not wish that things were better? Maybe change is a good idea, because if he can get all those funds for simple earmarks on programs in the inner city, I wonder what he can do for the rest of the US. Obama... McCain... Third parties are looking real inviting right about now. I think the best thing we can hope for is that Americans will wake up and realize that a third-party candidate can win if people have faith and vote for them. A third party might not be much better, but at least it's a hope of having some choice other than "screwed this way" and "screwed that way"... even if that choice is just "screwed in a new and interesting manner"

I would call making complete elimination of private firearms ownership taking an American right away, transferring control of BLM and National forests to the UN... that isn't taking rights away? Before you comment, go read it. It took me more than a week to get through all of it. Typically American, defend a point you don't fully understand.

I didnt leave it out, I just didnt use every single earmark to prove my point. The planetarium is most likely run on donations and some sort of government support. That's the way most museums are run. Americans dont really care about their history or these places would be busy all the time and wouldnt need the funding. These kinds of earmarks arent unusual for senators that are trying to get re-elected. They try to help their constituencies by improving things and putting money into the community. There have been unusual requests before in California for earmarks. One guy asked for $500,000 for a community swimming pool. Another asked for $350,000 for graffiti cleanup in a park. 5,000,000 for a new charter school. Computer labs. Library improvement. All kinds of shit. No senator or congressman is immune from asking for things for their communities. It comes to Congress to debate those earmarks, which doesnt happen often with either party in control. Not even Ron Paul is immune from earmarking.

As far as the BLM...it looks as if Craig Thomas just pushed through a treaty to control land desertification crafted by the U.N. and hand voted on it. Nothing was recorded. Granted, it was signed by Clinton, but then it goes to congress for debate and discussion. Ratification only happens when it is formally sent to the U.N.

Both parties are pro gun-control, it's just to what extent and where the extreme is.
