Monil
Hi, Does anyone else find this brand of tobacco actually has no/very little flavour (a lot of smell in the tobacco though)?? Can anyone recommend a decent brand for Mango flavoured shisha?
hookahphxsmoker
Monil, i bought some HookahHookah Mango tobacco from a local headshop, it was outstanding, but super overpriced at 3.50 for 50g
SirSmokesAlot
5$ for a 50g hookah hookah for me
mushrat
i can get a 250 tub for 8.99, though their flavours are limited.
wyteboy
yes, nahkla (to me) always sucks and is very, very flavorless. I hate it! Tried strawberry, apricot, cherry and something else I forget but they were all very bad. Though I've heard in the jar nahkla is much better than out of the box Nahkla. mopower84
Welcome Monil, Personally I am a Nakhala fan but the mango is flat out nasty. Check out what I posted in the topic on worst flavors ever. If Nakhala mango was a disease it would be leperosy(apologies in advance for any Lepers on the forum) That was the only mango I have tried so far but I think I may have to look into the HookahHookah stuff. I have heard they might have some quality control issues though.
ahwahoo2006
Al-Amir Mango!!! It's a little on the expensive side - $9.99 for 250g, but totally worth it.
hookahphxsmoker
mopower, don't know too much about hookahhookah, but since i got this tobacco at a local headshop suppliews were limited. my roommates and i both agree that its probably one of the best tobaccos we ever bought. The stuff was fairly odd thought, for one the tobacco was a lot finer than traditional shisha i have purchased, almost like the tobacco from a swisher blunt(though it was sticky and moist like regular shisha). It seemed to stretch 3-4 coals per bowl though, unlike other tobaccos i have tried.
mopower84
Hookahphxsmoker, Well there was a lot of talk about there quality control a while ago, but it would make sense if they had heard complaints they would probably have been busting thier tails to correct the problem. I have been hearing more good about their stuff recently so maybe they have gotten it all taken care of? I haven't smoked the product so I am by no means an expert on thier Ma'asell. I am sure that their tabacco if worth a try but I probably wouldn't order several tubs on the first time out. I think probably the greatest thing about smokeing hookah is the gigantic selection of brands and flavors of ma'asell to try out, The more the merrier. Sariél
After reading ALL the reviews on HookahHookah, I ascribed the instability to the reviewer, not the tobacco
MR Bubble
HookahHookah's stuff does smell good, but I just can't handle it. The tobacco itself is just bad tasting to me. Like a Luckystrike with flavorings. I guess it's the Virginia tobacco used in it. It works for a Marlboro, but not massell. Same with Sultan brand: same tobacco weirdness. I don't think I'm a tobacco lightweight either. I'm a 25+ year cigarette veteran and everytime I tried to smoke HH, I get explosive mud! Tired of sitting on the can, MR Bubble
mushrat
Mopower: Buddah's Belly on Hillsborough Street carries Hookahhookah Ma'asell. I've been wanting to try the apple, but don't want to get stuck with a full tub if I don't like it. Care to split a 250g?
MR Bubble
Mush, I hope it's improved since the last time I tried it (last winter) as it had the most wonderful Jolly Rancher sour apple smell, but was totally tasteless. Well tasteless except for that "lucky strike" tobacco taste that kept making me blow mud all day long. Hope I'm still a mod after that MR Bubble
hookahphxsmoker
MR, i know they use a finer Virginia tobacco, but to tell you the truth, all I could smell or taste the whole time was Mango. It never really felt strong, in fact Nakala gets my head and stomach ringing a lot more. I use Skoal on a regular basis and I still can't conquer the Nakala Double Apple. Soup
I smoked some Nakhla mango last night and it was a nice light flavour. Mushrat sent me some ma'assell so when i get around to it, I'll review them. Just for the record they are nakhla mango, double apple, sweet melon, and al waha sweet melon. I can tell you right now that the al waha was a big hit with the three people out of the eight of us who haven't smoked from a hookah before. Still havent broken into the nakhla sweet melon yet. MR Bubble
I usually introduce the hookah to people using Nakhla melon and they all love it! I think they alterd their melon as it just doesn't seem as "rich" tasting as it once was. But, it's still darned good. MR Bubble
mushrat
I have to say, I like the Nakhla melon better than the al waha myself. The Al Waha was supposed to be Orange but i grabbed the wrong box when I left that day... Glad your friends liked it..did you? We'll try to get another batch by the Man again later.... Any of you other Canadians want to give it a try?
Soup
I definitly liked it! It was the favourite of the night. Since my friend has been borrowing my brother's hookah, I gave him the al waha...he's done plenty for me to deserve that plus more. Once my first paycheck arrives I'm buying some liquor, grabbing the tobacco, and we're having a party!
