Scheetz
start with your local county and find out what is needed. They will tell you everything you need to know and how to go about it.

RayVer
roots160 let me know when your lounge opens I live in Tampa myself.Be aware of the high competition near the USF area. Theres about 5 hookahbars within 1 mile of eachother over here.
roots160
-yea for sure, there will be extensive advertising dont worry!! I wont give the name away yet but you will know soon...and as far as the permits go..thats why im am finding out about them my friend, ive applied for permits before for different businesses, and i understand it will take a month or so to process, but i also have help with the legal side of things which will make the process faster..and the lounge will be more in the brandon area..off of 60 or bloomingdale! and will be more of a modern style like the meridian by usf..so should be a people pleaser!-Ryan
mushrat
That's the approach I took, an American Hookah Lounge. Classic and current rock with a smattering of techno, middle eastern, country on the speakers. Hookah art and some local artists on the walls, and I don't even speak Arabic... But I know many hookah customs, hand the hose doubled over, never tip first, If you sit and talk to a middle eastern customer, don't show the soles of your shoes, that sorta thing, and people DO notice...I've gotten comments. Exile
I'm no business owner, but I'm in the market as it were. Hookah etiquete tip from Exile:Hookah is not meant to be set on a table or raised surface. Traditionally, it is a tool of service and belongs on the ground. Although, it is acceptable to set the hookah on a table if the ground is unclean.
