Where Is Neil?

So I ordered from Neil (Devil's Playground) on Monday and he has yet to even call to confirm my order. So now it sits in "pending" and there is no cancel button or anything. I really don't want to cancel it, but I was counting it on having it this week.

So, anyone know what he is up to or where he is?

Why not just go straight to a highly reputable vendor[1] straight out the bag? Savings of a $1 here and there are just not worth it in my opinion.

I would have to agree with you here JD. If he wants to do business correctly he still need to get some things sorted out, like shipping in an orderly fashion. Neal is a great guy, don't get me wrong, but that does not help in the delay in shipping or the way to deal with a customer in such a way as this. MNH, HC, and HS are your best bets.

He was in chat last night even though he was idle, so I do not think it is a computer issue

If you ask me, the truth of the fact is TDP needs to get their site up and running properly... until then, if you want to order from them the best is through direct contact. I just got another order from Neal with absolutely no trouble or wait, and I ordered directly from him. He's in the chat right now for those interested tongue.gif

Guys, he has only a few people to get all his orders from the online store packed and shipped and then orders from his normal store have to be dealt with. Then he has a kind of lounge in hisshop where can people can smoke, so he has to take care of them. Just with the online orders he is one busy, busy man. It might take a while to order, but you almost always get free shipping when you order so it's worth the wait. It's just like buying locally, only they don't have all of wha you need so you are waiting til they get it stocked. smile.gif

+1 for that. This is what I am talking about. If he is that busy, then he should hire someone else so he can focus on selling on line. That is a full time commitment.

Okay a Wheres Waldo (Neal) update. We have not had computer troubles. I appreciate the person covering us there. I have been having a busy as Hell shop troubles. We are at 69 Hookahs sold in the shop alone by the end of the 14Th day of this month.

I am taking the weekend off from the foums, chat etc...

What I need to do is all of the following:
Place orders
Pick up orders locally
Make a list of all items we carry in shop.
Post all items in shop on line.
Buy cases of cigarettes (I hate doing it so its on the list).

Okay now the things you want to hear that have to get done:
Make sure all orders are filled. CC#`s are ran late shipped people are compensated.
I have to do back end work on the mailorder. Holly can`t seem to do it so I am redoing it so even a retarded smoke shop owner can do it.
I have to make all the ads uniformed. That alone will take hours and hours.
I hate to catch up a few emails.
I have to catch up 11 messages on HF (and counting).

Oh and 1 more very important thing I must ad. WE ARE NOT EVEN OPEN YET!!!! Not angry dude we have not even opened yet though seriously.

This was not a soft openeing. It`s simply taking orders before we have even opened the site. Don`t get me wrong. I love the fact people are ordering and most either like the service or like the Ooopss we screwed up heres compensation. At this point the site is my Hobby.

Once we are all set up I will be full blown mailorder. We are dropping $1,000 a month even now to advertise it as we build it. I did not expect it to make sales this fast annd as often as it does.

Just to give you a small idea how busy the shop is we order $2,000-3,000 a week just in tobacco for the shop and go through over a case of just 3 kings small coals a week also. This does not include Goldens exoticas and 3 kings 40mm.

Please by all means keep shopping. Keep yelling wheres the fusion or other item I have removed. All the feedback is good to hear. We need to know where the bugs are and work them out before we get serious on this.

We have got alot of good feedback from the site so far. So we are working over and over to fix little glitches and bigger problems etc...

Yea I wasted time posting the last 2 messages when I could have been working.

neil i emailed you regarding a bad batch of al fakher tobacco i got from you guys it was the grape, it had the sept 2007 date on it, which has been discussed many times on this forum as being bad. it reeks of ketchup. I never heard back from you guys. what is your policy on this? do i take it as a loss? the other batches seem ok

just wanted to update everyone neal has contacted me. He said they will not be carrying the grape anymore because of all its issues. He said he'll also gladly replace my grape.

Big thank you to neal for the great service. will be placing another order with him very soon, for all of you who havnt tried the pink lemonade, def pick that up off him its great.


i'll let you guys know how the replacement grape turns out. iam crossing my fingers.
