Af Hookah

Recommended Posts

They're beautiful, but far from perfect... I just got my 36" one and its a bit tough on the pull due to a rather small diameter downstem, its got a lot of minor flaws, especially in the vase, and its a pain to clean because they have a permanently attached diffuser at the bottom (meaning you need a 30"+ brush to clean it). It is a thing of beauty though, a great showpiece and above average smoke. I prefer to stick to my Myas for regular use though, and just bring the AF out for entertaining.

these are beautiful hookahs.

they definitely have their flaws. be careful and make sure to check the seals all the way down the stem. the use a slightly different manufacturing process so sometimes they are not sealed perfectly.

also make sure to check the base grommet, sometimes they are not sized and you may be finding another grommet or using lots of paper towels.

they are a fun one to clean:)

if you can get everything sealed and keep it clean, these are great hookahs.

i tried to pull and pry it off without success, im afraid if i try pliers i'll just break it and i kinda like the no effort diffuser for the time being since i have a brush that reaches that far down anyways.

either way, i still love my mya quality and convenience first and foremost smile.gif

I love mine aswell. biggrin.gif

It does have minor flaws but nothing is perfect.

The pull is great, not restictive at all, especially compared to a MYA.

I got an AF 36, its a great smoke, but its got buckloads of manufacturing defects, all over the stem and loads of bubbles in the base, I also had to put electrical tape underneath the grommet so it would be airtight. The grommet that comes with it is rather crap, its made of hard rubber which doesn't produce a good seal. That to me shows poor workmanship and no pride in your product! if I buy a new shisha I expect it to work out-of-the-box. If Mya can get this right I dont know why AF can't?

Personally I reckon the AF hookahs are over rated, they look great from far, but I think I should have brought a KM instead, from what I've heared KM take great pride in making their hookahs.

Also AFOnlines customer services suck!

AFonline takes great care of me. Maybe because im so frequent with them?

You have to keep in mind, this is their first hookah.

Why does mya work out of the box? Because its so generic. They use the same style stem with the bubble shaped chamber for all of their hookahs. They "perfected" (FARRR from perfect in my eyes) the chamber and use it on 95% of their hookahs.

KM has been in the business of hookah making for a long time aswell...
