Recommended Posts

ok, I’m thinking about getting one of these. for the price is the qt better? or is the chic worth the $$?. which one is best for portability? and which one is least likely to tip. also, any other thoughts would be great. thanks

The QT is $45 while the Chic is $70 via HS. While I haven't smoked from the Chic, I am quite sure it's about the same as the QT. In my opinion the extra $25 would be better spent on a Nammor (Mya hoses are good... for about 3 months). Or, get a Bambino and some mo'assel.
As far as portability goes, you can always pick up a hard case for about $10 if you're not digging the birdcage that comes with the QT. The Bambino comes with a hard case which is the $10 difference. Edited by erufiku

That was my primary concern, that the chic was all about the looks. now you have me concidering the bambino. then again i shouldnt let that 10 case effect my decision. damn, what to do what to do. i need a better, smaller hookah than the one i have for vacation. were a road trip through ny ny, ocean city, boston, salem, etc. i need a hookah that would suit us well.

MYA frosted class has been notorious for having problems, ie being very thin and shattering, etc. However, so has the QTs... Get a bambino! If you really want one of the above two, get the qt, as it smokes great and when and if the base shatters you can get a new one for like 15 bucks, which I dont think you can do with the chic.

That's why I bought the Bambino as my first hookah. It's portable, and the base seems solid enough. Besides, bases can be bought for $15 off of H-S.com afair. It hits amazing for a 12", but people have complained about tipping issues with hoses like Nammor. I guess the QT would be more stable than a Bambino, but I love the Bam's stem too much, so in my next order I'm getting a QT vase to stick on my Bambino stem for smoking outside like somebody else has done.

To end this rant: I'd go with the Bambino and an extra vase (which is exactly $70 that you would pay for a Chic) just in case. That way if one breaks during your escapades you can always smack the other one on and keep smokin x)

I take my 37"+ KM where ever I go. Got a bag for it with Newspapers [to wrap the base] along with the plate, stem, bowl, ect. I actually can fit Two KM's, with their entire body and accessories in that bag.

Stick with a QT I guess if you want something that smokes ok and is very compact.

I would say either the bambino or the chic also.. The only thing that I like better about the chic is that the water level is much lower than the bambino, less of a chance to get some in the hose, more airspace for smoke.

We havent been able to keep the chic's on the shelf and have had no complaints at all.

My vote is for the QT, the bambino is a great hookah, dont get me wrong, but its a bit stubby and a tad -too- small. The QT is wonderful. Aside from the common chamber on my QT, i have no complaints about it.

Get a QT, i have had one for over 2 years and love it, but do not like the new design of the ash tray and screw on top, but get what you like, small hookahs are as good as any other Edited by Oggie505

Bambino all the way. Yeah, the Chic has a smaller water level/larger smoke chamber, but I just think that the vase quality on the bambino is better overall. Only problem I've ever had with it is purge, and that's my experience with Myas all the way around. Case is great for taking it on trips too.

If you wanna get crazy, go get a QT vase and the bambino stem. They look absolutely sick together. I think there's a pic floating around on the board here if you wanna look for it.
