Lakemonster
Hmmmmmm... I suppose at this point it will be a matter of expectations. What size of hookah have you been smoking? Do you plan on hosting smoke sessions on a regular basis? What is your budget? As a personal recommendation.... You might consider getting one that you can enjoy from the get go.... and you wont be soon to grow out of. I would consider investing in something at least 24" or better.... My first REAL hookah is 18 inches or so.. and it smokes nowhere near what my 32" does. A happy medium might be in order. Avoid cheap....... this doesnt mean pay too much for a particular hookah you can get elsewhere for a better price. MALE STEM.......... its the way of the future..... I dont see the "Syrian" female style stems lasting too much longer in a Male stem world. This means that the bowl slips over the stem head.......... and not inside of it. Just because it is made in Syria doesnt mean that it takes "Syrian bowls". Reasearch..... do your homework and see what bells anbd whistles work for you. Dont get overworked about "Free gifts" offered with the hookah. Concentrate on the hookah itself. What you need will actually be the cleaning brushes... a GOOD set of tongs ( I like the ones with the teeth on them).. and if need be a good carry bag and case. Everything else is a bit moot to me. Lakemonster
for some reason that link doesnt take me to a particular product!?!? What is that name of the hookah they give the model you are looking at?
Lakemonster
Oh. and the hose. Even if you have to buy one extra..... get yourself a washable hose...... a fake leather or natural....... a Mya hose......... somethin....... avoid frilly hoses that have crap materials. A good tip off to a good hose is that you will see a pronounced coil in the line. It may not be perfectly "washable" but at least it will LAST....... BTW........ 60" is much shorter than you think

yashman19
I would agree with Lake's idea of going with an egyptian style head rather than the syrian. Not that anything is wrong with syrian heads, but you will be able to find a lot more egyptian bowls being offered than syrians. This means that if you break your bowl and need to find another, its easier to find large egyptians.
r_money
what are your thoughts on the two hose torrent, or others like it?
yashman19
Never used it, but I would say you are buying from a pretty good reputably site, and if anything goes wrong with your order they should compensate you fairly well. But when getting a multi hose hookah of anykind, ask yourself a few quesions. Do you need auto seal? For the most part, everyone loves autoseal, but I have heard some people saying that it constricts air-flow too much and that its not worth it. Bust most people like how you don't have to plug the hose while not smoking. If you are smoking hookah with friends while playing cards or something, it would be nice to be able to set your hose down and hold your cards and not have to worry about suction. But I don't know if the torrent has auto seal or not. Look into it and think about what would work best for you. Autoseal MAY constrict airflow, but makes life a lot easier. Or if you don't think plugging the hose is a big deal, then most of the time multihose hookahs without autoseal will be cheaper.
