staygone
Don't smoke in the house. Don't fall asleep with hot coals on the hookah. Don't be a moron.-QM
billy
Have something surround the hookah or the bowl from stop it from falling off and burning anything.

MechAnt
Viagra.LOL, on a more serious note, being careful is the only way. You just need to be very careful with it, as do the other people smoking it. Excessive amounts of people and alcohol is never a good situation to set up the pipe. r1v3th3ad
Now, when I have guests, I explain to them how the slightest tug on the hose can knock it down, so there is more hose monitoring and safety. Otherwise, for the most part I keep it on top of clothing bin or a nice size table. On the rare occasion that a coal happens to fall or explode, I have roughly a liter of water on standby and it is immediately thrown on the spot of the coal. No more chances. No more burns with that water, stopped several since my big burn back in early January.Once I have the money, I'm gonna make a big wood box that is held together by hinges and latches. The interior would be lined with silk and heavily stuffed. This would hold my hookah and goodies. When I set up, the box would be collapsable into a big, flat area for my smoke time. That way I can transport my hookah and smoke safely.
garykainz
don't put it directly on the carpet, it's too wobbly. get a road sign, a piece of glass, something (i use an old baking sheet) to put under it to stabilize it. also, make sure you put the windcover on when you're done. that way if you have hot coals on it, they won't fall completely off if they come off the bowl

staygone
Oh, we sit on 5 gallon buckets. We all freeze, we all have fun. Another way for the prevention is keeping a bucket/glass of water ready incase of exploding coals.-QM

I agree.... its different in the cold. I put on my parka and relax.... I prefer the warm but you take what you can get.... it is a bitch when you leave the hookah in the garage overnight and it freezes!

I also don't smoke when people are drinking. In the event that the coal falls off I have more than enough time to pick it up, although it hasn't happened much recently. That rug has saved my carpet from like 10+ burns and a cola stain.
gr!m
Not sure how to answer this one, ask my two coal shaped burn holes in the carpet.

hipoblaze
i personally use one of my old little ikea end tables to put my hookah on when i smoke and i almost always am smoking inside either playing a game with my lady and friends or watching a movie or t.v... recently i made a cheap resourceful wind cover out of a "B F C" monster can and it helps for when i am moving my hookah from the kitchen to the room to help keep the finger coals form rolling off i also use it while smoking and turn off all fans and AC joshey
Perrj99
Mine has never been knocked over...I can understand how they get knocked over, especially when lots of people are over, but I have been lucky thus far. The best advice I can give you, don't let your's fall over.

Not really. But maybe a big heavy tasty chunk of nast. You should probably just ignore this post. I was bored... And I think shisha fan gave me a new idea. Maybe someone should try crushing up viagra and mixing it into their shisha or base. Let me know it tastes. Do you think it would make your session extra long? Or do you think it might make the drag really hard? Remember, always wrap your head. You don't want your shisha to burn. It makes it really harsh to smoke your hose.hahaha wat? I told you I was bored.
