Problem With Nammor Fitting In My Pipe

Recommended Posts

I'm having trouble fitting my new nammor in my 4 hose sahara odyssey.
The nammor is too big to fit inside the fitting. I'm wondering if I should take a little bit off of the hose up to where the grommet fits.

any suggestions? It definitely is not sealing
I can snap some photos if need be.

I had the same problem with mine. I took the hose port end of the hose and held it over my lit lighter for a few seconds and then stuck it in the hose port without a grommet. This molded the end to better fit in the port. Now I don't need to use a hose grommet with my nammor. It fits perfectly all by its lonesome.

I too am having this problem with my Sahara Filigree. Has anyone done the sanding process themselves? If so what grit sandpaper? Does it ruin the finish on the hose fitting? How do i make it nice and pretty and clear again? Thanks in advance...

just sand the part that will be inside, i wouldnt go anything coarser than 220 and unless there is a huge amount that needs to come off, only do it by hand. if you do use any power tools make sure you have good ventilation or a respirator or both, i think those hose tips are acrylic or some other plastic and that isnt any fun if you get it to hot and it releases fumes.

another alternative is remove the grommet and wrap a double layer of paper towel around the tip. I have had that work on some no name pipes, if not just like everyone said grab some sandpaper.
