flabbyabz730
I have a Super Nova 1 hose rotator. Sounds like there's alot of air coming out of the filter cap when hitting the hose. Tightened it and covered in foil. I'll get a decent amount of smoke for a while but itll die it'll slow down again. Theres just not enough smoke building up, and I had 3 rolland easy lites on it. This is my 5th and most expensive hookah and its the worst I've had. My bowls are packed fine. Tobacco isnt burnt. Water Levels are fine....wth could be the problem? austinthecity
to test for air tightness, set up the hookah sans bowl. put your finger over the top (stem) and suck through the hose.you shouldn't get any air. if you do get air, listen for leaks
jamesh2
IMHO, rolands suck. try 3 kings or jap coals. i was surprised at how much the coal can effect a session. that usualy effects the taste, but you never know. also, if your using a regular bowl, 3 may be a bit much, however, if your using 3 because you just feel like you are not getting enough smoke, i guess thats different. lets take a look at what type of bowl you have first, many people are impartial to the funnel bowls, i prefer just a regular CLAY bowl, with 2 jap coals on top with a wind cover. the windcover allows the heat to stay by the bowl and gives the smoke a little more of a kick. rotator hookahs tend to leak quite easily. you sound like you know what your doing but lets recapcheck for leaks using the hand method (cover the bowl and suck in. you shouldnt be able to get air in, listen for leakswater should be approx 1 inch to 1.5 inches (imo) above the bottom of the stemshisha should be packed fluffy, not packed in hard (that makes sense right?), poke holse all the way to the bottom holes in the bowl to allow proper air flowas you said, shisha should not be touching foil.if this all fails i have lost faith in your hookah :-p. no seriously take a look and keep us updated.
