schneid35
First of all, I'm new to the hookah world but its safe to say I'm enjoying it very much. Now...I just recently purchased my first hookah and am having some issues with it.I have foil over the tobacco and have followed all of the steps. All rubber stops are in place and the hookah is air tight. Now, when I inhale and get the tobacco going, the chamber fills with think, luscious smoke, but...when I suck on the hose I get hardly any. Is it my lighting procedure that is causing the problem? Or maybe a bad internal part?Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks.check for a leak in the hose by covering 1 end of the hose with your finger and then blow into it. If you hear a noise, there is your answer. Switch
could also be a water lvl thing, if u have to much water it will be hard to pull and therefor u wont get much smoke, same with to little water, smoke just isnt the same consistancy
austinthecity
how sure are you that it's air tight?to be sure, set up the hookah sans bowl. put your finger over the top of the stem and suck on the hose. you shouldn't get any air
schneid35
Thanks to all for your suggestions, turns out the basic hoses it came with were pieces of shit. I borrowed one from some guy on my floor and all was well:) Looks like its time to order some nice hoses from the internet!
