SickNick
I recently purchased one, i dont find the taste to be bad i mean there is none just the tobacco really, but I get this irritating feeling behind my throat when i use it, Ive seen one other person stating they got that feeling. Why would that happen, i feel like i could control the heat fine but that irritating feeling just dosent make sense, i feel like i have posion heating my tobacco or something, does anyone else get this? Im probly just gonna convert it to a coal heater but its just bugging me that I dont understand why its irritating.
louman3333
I agree when i use the electric tobacco heater it leaves me with an unpleasant taste. Coals are the way to go. I feel like i just took a 60$ loss. I don't recommend anyone purchasing one.

clickhea
sounds like the tobacco is getting 2 hot
CouchKing
looks like its actually designed to heat your coals, not the bowl or tobacco. that could explain your problem. If there is constant heat on your tobacco, you're probably burning straight through the bowl.
austinthecity
this isn't used as an alternative to coals... it's used to light them..
Johnny_D
Any chance of a picture of how you guys are using that to smoke a bowl? I'm intrigued to say the least!JD - Not sniggering at all
Voski
look at the picture its labeled "Tobacco Heater" that was designed to actually be used as a coal alternative but when it didn't work they flipped it over and now call it a coal heater. Bulldog_916
Did you even read what it was used for? Reading 2 reviews would have told you what it was. Reading the first three sentences of the product description would have told you it was a coal heater. Oi.

Or it could just be some good old placebo.
mushrat
To reiterate what a few others have said, Years ago it was advertised as a tobacco heater, alternate to coals. It IS still called a "Hookah Heater" so the OP was too far off. As soemone else pointed out it was later flipped over to heat charcaol because it didn't work worth shit as a coal substitute. So lets not be jumping all over someone just for the sake of it hey folks? Make nice or I'll have to smack some heads together.
ZenSilk
Yeah it burns the tobacco much too fast, and then keeps burning it.
SickNick
See the thing is that it dosent actually taste burnt, the flavor is actually really nice tastes like it wud be smooth as fck but it leaves you this dry and irritating feeling behind your throat when u exhale and a lil burn wen u inhale but again dosent taste burnt at all that's what driving me crazy? U think maybe the material the coil is made from is unhealthy to have on top of the hookah?
thecoalition
lol yea thats def a coal heater not a tobacco heater. could be the reason for the irritation.edit: ok so yea it was a coal alternative but as was pointed out didn't work. i would just stick with coals.
