Car Smoking

I've always wanted to try hookah in my car and I have a Witch to do it with but I'm a bit concerned about getting pulled over and having to explain what I was doing to a cop. Has anyone ever had an experience like that in their car? I know that I've read a lot of stories about dealing with the police while smoking in parks.

i dunno about the USA but most policemen here dont mind if you smoke hookah in public and dont go around asking questions. I've never seen anyone else smoke in public, besides myself and seanij and its a great conversation starter when someone asks what you're smoking (normally they do not imply that you have NHT..theyre just curious onlookers) here, any policeman that's done a night shift in the night club area knows what a hookah is as theyre smoked outside clubs..

I just looked for this thread for like 10 minutes. I put in smoking in the car and a ton of other crap came up. Well I feel so angry that posting this isnt as funny anymore, but Ill try anyway.

So I read this thread and thought it sounded good on paper, but their are a lot of things that could go wrong especially if you dropped a coal. I went to school with my gf and took one of my hookahs and didnt get as much time as I needed to smoke, so I smoked on the way home. The center cup holder had a sliding door cover so I set it on that. Also a sun-roof is an awesome thing to have while smoking to keep the car clear. Anyway here is a picture, the lack of smoke is because of the sun roof and timing of the picture.

Honestly, what worked for me all the time when I took the hookah in the car was the combo bowl....


The catch is, you have to mod the combo bowl.. The lid doesnt have enough holes in it, it definitely gets hot quickly.. If you drill like double the holes into the lid, it works a lot better.

Ya, heard bad things about the combo bowl...once you get the packing technique down, its just making a windcover...
its a hella fun though. sick picture...not much smoke tho...

It's been ages since I smoked in the car. Although it's not something that I'd prefer, it is truly a whole different experience smoking hookah while driving. Just cruising down the highway at 65 and being able to puff some sweet shisha, mmmm, it's a good thing. Not really worth it unless you're going on a road trip or at least a trip that would last an entire bowl.

The first time I ever did it (and, come to think of it, the only time I did it) it was me and two friends of mine. We put the hookah in the back and basically my friend in the back was on coal duty and making sure the hookah didn't tip. We didn't have a combo bowl, we didnt have the windcover on, and we didn't even make a foil chimney haha. We were total n00bs, but surprisingly not a single coal fell off! We just basically passed the hose around as I drove (this was back when I had my 1 hoser) and I drove around aimlessly for a good 45 minutes just to see what it was like to smoke hookah and drive.

It's pretty fun. I plan on getting that McTini for when my foot heals and I'm finally able to drive again. And to everyone who said they wouldn't want to smoke hookah while driving, I recommend trying it, even just once, it's a nifty experience.

You got it lucky then, cops in the US are dicks about it...
