Atleast for me. I really do love it when the warm shisha gives off a thick and strong aroma.
lxjenkins
I find the exhale flavor to be more important than the inhale flavor, as that is the taste that will stay in your mouth. I don't care either way how the shisha smells - but I suppose, if it smelled unbelieveably awful I might be bothered.Smoke smell is somewhat important. A good smelling smoke adds to the overall enjoyment of the session and enchances the flavor.

Tikhman
A lot of people like sweet flavors, but not everyone. I personally like to mix sweet and tart flavors for the best of both worlds.Shisha should smell pleasant when you open it and on the exhale. Its hard to get any taste when you inhale as it flows in too fast for your taste buds anyways.out of curiosity, what flavor is it? As for those questions my answers are as followsUnburned smell to me is not that important. I've smelled some horendous shishas which turned into great smokes, so I dont judge by that. Its also gone the other way... Great smell, terrible smoke.Exhale flavor is more important, I usually dont get too much taste on the way in. I take a nice long slow drag in and do the same out. Nice and slow through the nose and mouth to get a good full flavor.Smoke smell is important. There has been some shisha which the smoke smells terrible and makes you not want to smoke inside. If the scent lingers like a cigarette I wouldn't smoke it. One of the great things about shisha is that the smell doesnt stink up your house or you for that matter.I think that would be interesting. The only flavors I've had stay with me after the smoke is gone are mint flavors. It would be cool to have a blueberry or peach flavor or something like that kinda hang out with you for a bit after smoking.Hope this helps.-Drew

mathuv
well personally i enjoy a nice taste on the inhale when im smoking a sweet/fruity flavor but its the exhale that counts the most. i love it when the burning shisha smells nice too. i dont like it when it smells like burnt shisha, even though im getting great flavor. i dont really mind the smell of the unburnt shisha, nakhla mint smells weird unburnt but imo has a nice mint flavour. the smoke smell is important to me too...you wouldnt want to be smoking with some friends and exhale bad smelling smoke.. Luke69
I feel that the smell of the unburnt shisha does matter quite a bit, it is like smelling a good wine. I definately agree that the exhale counts more for flavour than the inhale.
Switch
exhale counts more than the inhale for sure, i am a person though that gets kinda sick of the smell of some of the really sweet flavors, so the smell of the smoke isnt to important for me. I love the sweet flavors, jsut after a while the smell gets to you
