gr!m
So, I decided this weekend would be a good time to whip up a batch of homemade shisha and become Dr. Frankenstein. I will be buying the dry leaves from a local shop (Havana Connections, cigar place), and I am going to boil them to wash them and get the more tobacco-ey flavors out. I am purchasing different flavor extracts from a local baking supply store I shop at (I'm a pastry chef). Also getting some decent glycerin and molasses. Here's the flavors I'm going to mess with:Smooth & Sweet Flavors:Blueberry Cobbler (Blueberry flavor, Vanilla Flavor, Cinnamon/Nutmeg flavor, Glycerin, Molasses, and honey)Peaches & Cream (Peach flavor, Vanilla, ect)Dr. Frankenstein Flavors:Tiramisu (Coffee, Vanilla, Amaretto)Key Lime Pie (Lime, Vanilla, and a general sweet flavor to imitate te meringue)Maybe more, depending on what I can afford. I'll let you all know how it goes.Edit:Might buy some Nahkla "Zaghloul"...it's their "flavorless" tobacco and comes in 250g baggies. Saw it in my local shop, although apparently it's a but stronger than the regular shisha. I might go ahead and try to flavor this vs buying tobacco leaves. gr!m
Thanks for the good feedback, this is my first time ever making anything with tobacco so hopefully it goes well! yes blueberry cobbler, and tiramisu are probably going to be my fav if they work.I'm going to do the batches then let part sit 24 hours and then smoke, another part 48, and so on.....to see if flavor marination helps. Bulldog_916
How much does the tobacco that you're going to use cost? I'd like to make my own also. Thanks.

Bulldog_916
I know that the pipe tobacco that I see inside smoke shops is expensive as hell. 50 grams can cost upward of 10 bucks. I'd start with tobacco made for hookahs (tombeik). That's the way I was thinking about basing mine.http://hookahcompany.com/sultan_tombeik_1795_prd1.htm

Seanij
Dont use Flavoured Pipe tobacco, I did that.. it just destroys the flavour of the fruit or whatever you're using.

gr!m
As I said in my edit, I'm going to be messing with flavoring Nahkla Zahgloul (Their flavorless smoke) $4.99 for 250g at my local shop. The only thing is, that apparently it's strong as hell...meaning I'm going to be buzzed all weekend lol.
