1. Egyptian are all handmade. Some great stuff out there as far as egyptians go. They tend to have nice hand painted vases.

2. Size isnt a big issue. Its all about preference. Some say the bigger the better but 22" seems to be perfect for me.

3. Cigs are much worse, hot smoke, tons of added chemicals. Shisha consists of tobacco, flavor and honey/molasses.

I will go as far as to say this for you. Egyptians are average hookahs IMO. Want quality and can afford it go Mya or Syrian.

As for cigs vs hookah. Cigs are a physical addiction where as Hookahs is a social addiction.

The nicotine in a bowl of hookah is minimal compared to a cig. Also theres NO TAR in Hookah tobacco. Well until Marlboro gets in on the act some day. lol

Imagine James Dean with a box of Hookah tobacco rolled up in his sleeve?

As for bigger vs smaller. This of it this way taller = more smoke to maintain in the hookah stem to keep a thick smoke. It may be a small differnce like in a decent hookah but in the chinese lines like the Ballerina, Queen rotator, Miss Nile etc... It makes a big differnce. Trust me on this one.

The world has spoken now I must go chat in the chat room at www.hookahforumchat.com

1. please read rules
2. please use the search before posting

most every question regarding hookah has been answered on this board at some point.

We might stop posting questions then? haha

@Thread: I though small hookahs have less time to cool down the smoke, so that's why ppl say the taller are better

Honestly, I've used sizes ranging from 10" to about 30". After about 14" you dont really feel a difference in smoke temp, or get more for that matter. Thats just my opinion.

Also, I've used myas many times and I still think my egyptian is better. To each his own.

The moral is get what you think looks cool and you will be able to get it to smoke well once you get some experience.

+1 Although I would say that 14" is a bit short. I'd say that you can't really tell the difference after 20" but hey, that's just me I guess.

I do think that Mya's are better on average than the typical egyptian. A good KM would give a good Mya a run for its money though.
