I don't understand why people pay to play games to sabotage their lives. Heroin does it for cheaper.

Good point...

Bahahha, sounds exactly like something my brother would say - after he broke his WoW addiction.

i dont understand why people complain about people who play wow...

get over it. its a game, if they like it, why do you care so much

I despeise wow, my friends' (yes more than one) lives have been ruined by it. On the other hand, I am the best Halo 3 player I know, was there from the start of the trilogy right up to the end, nad still going strong.
Its not all games, but Wow strikes a nerve.
And its moderation.

I'm gonna stop you right there. WoW didn't ruin your friends' lives, your friends' ruined their own lives. Just because you play the game doesn't mean you have to get addicted to it. It's not forcing a gun to your head. If you can't play it in moderation and it's affecting your life then its YOUR responsibility to stop playing and get back on track. I played the game the first fourth months it came out and it really screwed up my grades that semester, so I cancelled the subscription and I have not looked back since. Sorry if I come off as an ass, It just seems like people blame the game more than they blame the people getting addicted to it. Edited by Raziel510

+1 to that. i played WoW for a few months, got bored and quit. my friend who recently started WoW is a self proclaimed addict and he kinda boasts about it like "oh man, once you play WoW you can never stop" my usual reply to him is "shut the fuck up, just because you're weak and think you're addicted to it, doesnt mean others are too" ^^

I played WoW for about 3 weeks and got bored. I'd really rather go outside for a walk, the graphics in real life are much better =p

Only played that game once and it was enough. I find those games with all those monsters and stuff stupid (thats my opinon). I used to play FPS games a lot but now i've quitted. The only game shortcut on my desktop is minesweeper (best game ever). NOW MY GAME IS HOOKAH

Cheers

wry.gif To think I came in here pumped to see a picture of a sweet 7 ft hookah.

I tried WoW for like 4 days and found it super boring. A kid in my class claims he's "dating" a girl from across the country that he met on WoW.... blink.gif So, as long as you're not as messed up as him .... I figure it's your money and your free time.

i dont pay for my MMORPG's

played silkroad for a while and peen playing PerfectWorld for a few weeks now.

i mostly play games to pass the time but there are certain things that draw you to it.

for me, the thing that draws me to it is hookah!

they go hand in hand on mouse and keyboard!

1-2 people a year who "kill themselves because they lost on a game" compared to the millions who die every year due to drugs..k

Define "drugs" and maybe I'll leave you alone on that comment.

That said, I loathe wow and just about every mmorpg out there for the simple reason that I see people spending between eight and ten hours on it EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Now me... I just spend around 2-4 hours every day on team fortress 2 with hose in mouth, but that's my own gaming addiction. Edited by St. Goodypants
