Johnny_D
Thanks - Some useful information.I still stand by my own advice - I only add food-grade glycarin to my tobacco. Not the stuff used to shove up one's own ass.JD
staygone
Doesn't say it's not smoke safe. I'm still going to use my USP, FDA regulated and approved, 99.5% glycerin. I'm still kickin'.-QM Edited February 27, 2008 by QuiltedMaple

staygone
I get your point JD, I don't stick anything meant for ass into my mouth either . The thing is that I'm using skin protectant that followed strick FDA rules, and is approved by the USP. Meaning that because it isn't food safe by no means indicates that it is not smoke safe.-QM Edited February 27, 2008 by QuiltedMaple

staygone
Nah, it isn't just a uk thing. I bet some people to the west have the same views. Way I see it is that I wouldn't want to eat the shisha, yet I still smoke it.-QM
Scoop
lol...you really trust the FDA?id make sure its vegetable glycerin before id use any of it.animal glycerin is gross.
staygone
How so? They're both fats, I'm guessing you eat both forms that the glycerin comes from (vegetable and animal). Either way, glycerin is glycerin, isn't it just HOCH2CH(OH)CH2OH regardless? That's like saying potato alcohol is inferior to grain alcohol because potatoes are gross. It just so happens that the skin protectant, ie bad glycerin, is FDA and USP approved. I shouldn't be eating it apparently, but we're still smoking it. -QM Edited February 27, 2008 by QuiltedMaple

I highly doubt this is any different. I checked the lable and like 99.5% is like pure glycerin and the 0.5 is "anhydrous" which is the skin protectant part. I highly doubt its any different from other glycerins. I mean yeah, it'll be bad if we're eating this maybe...but ehhh c'mon we're smoking it, its not like we're ingesting it lol EDIT: Yes and I agree with maple...hehe it says it isn't FOOD safe, but none of the glycerins say they are smoke safe Hehe and baccy aint food and that would be kinda nasty if it was :X Edited February 27, 2008 by JillyIsJustKidding
