Will This Work As A Phunnel Mod?

Just got my phunnel in the mail today and went to the hardware store with the idea of making my own phunnel mod. I found this copper pipe fitting and drilled 8 little holes around the bottom. Air flows fine. Will this work/be safe? Thanks

edit, got it from mnhookah, very fast shipping and they threw in a sample of fantasia pink lemonade, i could smell it through the box! I can't wait for my new hookah to get here on friday!

I've heard bad things about heating copper repeatedly. You should do some searches before you smoke that.

As long as its safe it looks like it should work pretty well though. Nice mod, aslong as its safe.

I can't think of anything that pure copper would release that would be unsafe, its used as water piping after all

yeah, this one came out right as shown in the picture, tahts why i drilled the holes rather than bend the edge

copper = bad. get a brass one or if u can find one aluminum would be great cause it hardly conducts heat.

I prefer the mod as well. What I would suggest, though, is heating up the copper with a torch or stove until it's red hot, and then putting it in ice water.

Supposedly this should release anything it will release during smoking and make it non-harmful.
