Harshness Problem

That foil doesnt look like its wrapped tight around the bowl.. Make it super tight, that should help alot

Well yesterday I took the thing to my uncles and he hit the nail on the head. the Stem is wayyy to short so im having to fill up the vase all the way up to the neck with water giving the smoke VERY little room to sit in the vase, THUS the smoke is concentrated and its quickly burning the head to keep up with keeping smoke in the vase. Sooo to solve this problem im going to use some plastic tubing to lengthen the stem

I very much doubt this would change anything. There are very small bases and there are huge bases, if you do things correctly you should not get harsh smoke from either. I'll stick to what the others and say that the problem is in the setup and what others say, make sure that foil is tight.

let me rephrase it, the stem coming down into the vase is about 2 inches long, you have to vill up the vase (its a big vase) all they way up leaving about 1 to 2 inches of room in the NECK for smoke.

if it's really only 2 inches or so, get yourself to a hardware store and get a piece of clear vinyl tubing that fits snugly over the end of the downstem and lengthen that bitch.

I read like 2 maybe 3 lines of this. If you went to a better / bigger hose reduce the heat and make sure you do not hit it at the same time. That happens here with customers. they will see me hitting the hookah while I am on here and sure enough they will fight me for the draw and bam Scorched Bowl.

Remember the more air though that hose/ hookah stem the hotter the coal will burn my man.

1 at a time and not so hard of a pull will do the trick I am sure.
