thecoalition
so a guy i work with who is pretty cultured due to his worldy travels and i were talking last night about old time shaves. we basically talked about how 3 and 4 blades are not nearly as good as the classic safety razor shave. and when i say classic i mean double edged blade circa early 1900s with a badger brush used to lather up.anyone else doing the classic wet shave? always seems to be the absolute best imo. Usually I just don't shave more than every week or two though

I know, I said that those cheap ones are what I tend to use. I like having a beard, and don't shave that often mainly because I just don't care enough Guess if you shaved all the time or something a more luxurious razor would be in order though. r1v3th3ad
I really would be afraid of castrating myself...other than that, I would go for it, had it done in the past for neck shaves
jayson
Nothing beats a wet shave with a nice lather and the badger hair brush all with a straight blade. I can't bring myself to get near my jugular with the straight blade, so I use a safety razor like you pictured. AMAZING. When I'm in a big rush, I use my electric. It's all about enjoying yourself with some quality "me-time", so if you can't swing the time it takes (15 minutes-ish), then don't go for it.But hot damn, try and get a lather with lavender. You smell great and the chicks really dig it. Don't use any of the cheap Gel shit, get the real stuff.
LyricalX
I just started shaving with this method in January. Love it so far. Don't look at it as "damn I have to shave soon", It's more fun and more of a relaxation than a chore.I use a D/E by the way, I'd kill myself if I tried a straight razor.
