When Was The First Time You Smoked?

Just out of curiousity when/how did you first smoke hookah?

I'll start. About two years or so ago one of my old middle school friends called me up and told me to come with him to a kicback and that there would be a bunch of our old middle school friends. When we get there they had 2 hookahs going with half lit jap coals but hey I had no idea what it was or what I was supposed to do exactly. So I just took a hit and was getting no flavor and I kept asking people if im supposed to inhale or just let it out or what and no one would really answer me . And that was my first time, the second time was much better though I smoked at my friends house whos dad smokes all the time but all he smokes is nakhala double apple, and since I didn't know any better I would smoke so much that the buzz would just flatten me out.

It's kind of a blur... but I was about 16... maybe 17... (7 or 8 years ago) at a local Hookah lounge with some friends... I was scared to inhale... thought it was bad haha.

It was junior year of high school. I just turned 17 and I've always wanted to try hookah. Loved it. Al Amir Blackberry Apricot. Ends up they are the only two good flavors from AA. Excellent. I still remember it. Out of a full size MYA Acrylic, which became my first (first GOOD) pipe.

My freshman year of college. At this really relaxed hookah bar with indian music and the occasional belly dancer...then they changed location and now its very nerve racking. Lots of techno and flashing lights and drunk people...its hard to relax...oh how i miss the old days, the good days.

Back when I was still in high school, I was up working at the music camp in the International Peace Garden and smoked my first hookah with a Ukrainian girl I worked with.

about 3 years ago with some friends from Palestine. Went and bought a hookah the next week!

my first indulgence with the hookah was at my old college, only about 6 or 7 months ago. it was a big 4 hose rotator with banana raspberry All Fahkir mix. cuz it was my first time, i got a good head buzz. 3 months later i bought my pharoah. been months since i smoked though (convience problems)

well i was maybe 15 or 16 my cousin had one, i thought he was crazy and never wanted to touch one, about a year or two later i kinda grew up and out of the blue decided to go to the hookah bar and give it a try, bought a hookah that very same day and ive read so much stuff about it online its sick.

I started about a year ago and have been smoking out of friends hookahs since then, and now have recently
bought my own hookah.

the day after i turned 18 my buddy said he was taking me to a bar. we pulled up to a hookah bar, and had my first smoke ever. it was nakhla double apple, and was the greatest thing i'd ever tasted. i'd been smoking cigarettes for damn near a year at that point, so i didn't really get the head rush and crap, but i was hooked on the beautiful tastes.

First time... My cousins attic room, some standard egyption hookah with some Orange .. Havana (I think) .. pretty good time though, got the biggest buzz of my life!

I actually bought a hookah before I ever smoked it. I just knew it was the kind of thing I would love. Split the cost between three friends and me; and I've smoked it probably more days than I haven't since I got it. This went down sometime last October, maybe the beginning of November. I'm a late bloomer, haha (well, not really, I'm only 19). Amazing stuff.

First flavor was Romman "Good Times." Which is alright. I liked it a lot more before I moved on to better shishas.

i was dating a russian girl from brooklyn, she took me to some hookah lounge and ordered a hookah,i had no idea what it was or what was suppose to be done with it. Honestly i dont even remember if i had any flavor at the time, i just liked blowing the smoke outa my mouth... lol

6 years ago, when i was 14. a turkish guy from my class introduced me to it. it was a bowl of nakhla double apple and i smoke hookah ever since.

It was this past december at my friends christmas cocktail party. It was a raspberry shisha and I got a pretty decent buzz. The next week I went to the hookah bar three times and decided to order my own pipe.

well it was 2 years ago, i was 14. it was the day england played vs portugal in the 2006 world cup i was with a group of friends and someone who used to come to our school but moved to italy came to visit and we all decided to go to a hookah lounge. well the whole group all shared 1 mixed fruits hookah whilst me and the italian guy shared a mango one. at first i didnt know what to do so i just blew and purged the hookah. then i sucked in abit then more and more and more i loved it. taste was really sweet and i got a huge buzz and a bit sick. one of the best $5 i've spent in my life i think.

Lol Nakhla double apple all around i see. The legend, many egyptians smoke NOTHING but nakhla double apple. It was my first too. The summer after graduating HS me and a friend ran a small restaurant since our boss was away for a few months. Bossman used to smoke all day every day, but wouldn't let us. Before he left he said that anything in the place was ours to enjoy as long as we didn't go overboard. This included his back room, wich was designed like a Turkish village living room, with low benches and pillows and of course, hookah. We smoked horribly for a week untill a customer taught us how to smoke properly. Later on got my own stuff and been smoking since.

I rember it like it was just over a year ago in Hell.

I was in my moms smoke shop when we decided this hookah thing may be sellable©. Yea I made that word up.

We went to a hookah lounge and had a couple diet sodas and watched what we could. After that I was like screw them they don`t want to answer anything lets pay and go back and we can figure this out. lol

So we took down a pumpkin hookah loaded the bowl with tobacco, Stop thats where It all started to go bad. We then decided after deciding nt to put the coal under it we tossed that little Dodo coal right on the hookah. Yup almost died. I almost never smoked again. I had a blonde of all things come in and after she stopped laughing at us showed us the little bit she knew. It worked fine until a guy that worked for the same lounge as mentioned above got fired and walked in to the first real shop we had and showed us the way of the lounge. From there the rest is Vegas history.

We now smoke all the time. Before that the only thing I had ever smoked was a few small Cigars. Now days We still only smoke Hookah.

For those moms out there Hookah is not a gateway to anything except socializing with other hookah smokers. I did not get in to drugs from it. I still to this day have not smoked a cigarette. Its just Hookah is relaxing and a great social past time.
