When Was The First Time You Smoked?

I started around the age of 17... I knew plenty of people that smoked Shisha but never wanted to try it....didn't want to make a fool of myself esp being the youngest outta that crowd!

I took a bunch of friends from college, think there was six of us that day, we all tried it for the first time, we had a laugh and I got a good buzz but I hadn't eaten before hand so needless to say I felt so ill after and had an attack of the munchies. We ended up going nearly every week sometimes more.

We still go to the same place nearly five years later, but because of the smoking ban here in the UK we have to sit outside.

I'd say about 3 years ago me and my friends were bored and heard about Hookahs. Having no idea what they were we had an adventure to one and the owner was kind enough to help teach us all about our Hookah, how it works, whats in it. I'm sure we looked like fools but everyone was really nice to help us out and eventually we started going at least once a week. The first flavor we had was Cherrybomb and it was flippin amazing, sadly ever since the smoke-ban most lounges use soex and it grosses me out so I invested in a cheap one for myself and I've used it so much I'm looking for a far better quality one. I must say its great to share a hookah and catch up with friends, way better then just coffee.

In all honesty, my first time was NHT in highschool about 7-8 years ago, but right after that, I did some research on it and actually smoked shisha out of it. Nakhla Double Apple FTW...never went back to the way it was my first time and was seen preaching against that to my friends.

Freshman year of college, my roomie's boyfriend flew out and spontaneously bought a hookah while here. He left it with us until his next visit, and we smoked the hell out of it. After he took it back, I ordered my first as a birthday present to myself. My birthday wasn't actually for another month or so, but eh ....

I believe i was 11 when i smoked hookah fisrt time but its quite common where i live.

i went with my brother to his friend noahs house and when i got there they had a 3 hosed egyptian,we used quiclighs and smoked cherry and coke mixed i dont know what brand cuz i was a newb back then and i didnt think about looking

Went to visit a cousin out in AZ for spring break of my senior year in highschool, first time Id ever really been out of the south, smoked some form of cherry, which was awesome, smoked some nakhla double apple the next day which tasted good, but instead of 4-5 people smoking two hookahs it was just me and my cousins roommate smoking 1 hookah, it was hitting awesomely, which made me sick for a good 45-60 minutes. I still occaisonally smoke unless Im training for an AF PFA

The day of my 18th birthday went out with a group of friends to a Mediterranean cafe had falafel and hookah. It was grape, no idea what kind. It was amazing and I was completely hooked. I had smoked cigarettes, maybe for about a year, before this. It was amazing and new and tasty and didn't make my fingers smell like ass. I had to get into it. For about the next 3 months we would hit up this head shop named Hippie Gypsy and smoke, at least once a week. After this it made much more sense to buy a hookah, do it all myself and smoke whenever/whereever we wanted. Bought my first from Hookah-Shisha, 2 hose egyptian about 30" and joined the forum. Although i wasn't very active I always lurked to see what was new, but have never stopped smoking.

Well damn, I feel like a total n00b lol.

The first time I smoked hookah was in the fall of 2006. Me and my best friends (now ex) girlfriend drove up to his college to hang out and stuff and we were bored and she was like "lets go to a hookah bar" and while somehow I knew what it was (even though I dont recall ever literally hearing what one was or getting the 411 on it), and I was like whatever sure. Before that time I had never smoked a single thing in my life, not even a cigarette. About a month later I went to a hookah bar near me with two friends of mine and we both had double apple and all loved it. Another month later I brought another friend (AKammenzind) to another hookah bar and shortly after me and my one friend bought our first hookah. About 3 years ago when my wife bought me one from www.hookahook.com as a valentines gift. The rest is history...

years upon years ago, in NYC at a very nice lounge, walked in because we had heard that with a $20 covercharge, you got an open bar as well as a hookah..Barely knew what it was, figured we would just drink...ended up loving the Hookah, but then waited almost 12 years before I smoked another one...in Tucson at everyone's favorite ex-member's lounge of this forum. Bought a new hookah from him two weeks later, I don't think I have missed a day since then...(ok..I actually have missed a day...the day when I was working on getting my own shisha made, and I wasn't thinking...I had ran out of honey..ran to the store to buy more, was on the cell...got confused and bought maple syrup instead..and continued to make the shisha like nothing was wrong....WHOOPS!!!!...the worst smoke I have ever tried in my life....wow..was that bad..didn't smoke for almost a week after that....)
