hday
I've been looking to lathe myself a hookah. I'm wondering what types of aluminium alloy or stainless steel bar stock would be best. Martensitic stainless (or series-00) looks to be the best type of steel to use, but I have no knowledge of grades of steel or if I can even buy that kind of steel. Are there any aluminum alloys that are non-corrosive and would work well? Should I post on some metal specific forum?
Stinkyfisherman
I bet you could find that information in a metal fabrication book or something like that (talk to a metal smith). I know solid aluminum can get expencive, depends how big you want it. my question is where might you go about getting a "brick" of aluminum or steel?
