MechAnt
Old school all the way! Way back when, that's probably how they did it. Nakhla never ceases to amaze me with how cheap but how old school good it is.

Dom
last time i over packed Mango Nakhla, i had a horrible burnt-tobacco taste and my wife almost made me take my hookah outside it smelled so bad. now, if i don't pack my nakhla bowls just right, it tastes like ass. pack 'em low for me. jordanneff
Hrm. I've never under or overpacked my nahkla. Then again I've never had anything but mediocre smokes from nahkla. To me nahkla is more or less just a brand to smoke when I don't have something better around haha. Don't get me wrong, they have some alright flavors, but nothing outstanding. Dom
QUOTE (jordanneff @ Mar 2 2008, 01:13 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>...To me nahkla is more or less just a brand to smoke when I don't have something better around haha. Don't get me wrong, they have some alright flavors, but nothing outstanding.i respect that, but i have to disagree. i thought the same thing from reading on the forums, but after getting to know some other brands of tobacco, i've formed a different opinion for nakhla. Nakhla, to me is a very special tobacco for a different kind of buzz, different kind of smoke texture, and a unique taste. The buzz is not so much an intense FACE ON THE FLOOR buzz like Tangiers, but instead a relaxing, chill kind of buzz. i do not know why that is, and that doesn't make sense to me because tobacco is tobacco, right? idk. the smoke is thick, yes, but also, the texture of the smoke is a little more velvety. a friend of mine used that word to describe Nakhla and i think it is the perfect word for the smoke texture. it also looks different when i blow it out, too. i used to not be able to notice stuff like that and i thought that people who made comments like that were full of crap, but now, after smoking a little more, i understand why people comment on how the smoke "feels." Nakhla is very nice. it is one of my favorite brands of tobacco for this very reason. All the Nakhla i've smoked has this very unique flavor that is consistant with all the various flavors. i happen to like it. other people may not, but i think it is a little more natural flavor. i don't so much like the candy-tasting flavors of other brands. for instance, peach with other brands is a very sweet, hard-candy like taste. Nakhla's peach has a very natural, smooth, rich taste. also sweet, but in a different way. (man, this is hard to describe. i hope this makes sense.) it's like you are smokin' tobacco, not drinking punch. you know? i do sometimes like that really sweet stuff, too. but i can always count on Nakhla to taste more rich and natural. that's just my two cents.
