Al Waha Appreciation Thread

why do i feel like im one of the only people on this board that love Al Waha. IMO AW is some of the most flavorful shisha. in fact, orange creme might just be my favorite shisha.
is anyone with me?

Al Waha makes the best Vanilla shisha, period. I also really like After 9, Bounty and Orange Cream. Their coconut is very good too. With the exceptions of Double Apple and Candy they make very tasty affordable shisha.

I would have to disagree. Ive given AW way too many chances and its failed everytime. I havent tried Orange cream, but then again orange isint a hard flavor to make. Its a solid flavor as it is from any manufacturer.

I give Al Waha A +1...
I've loved it since my first bowl of it. Good flavors, even better for mixing. Really strong buzz factor, sometimes crippling for me when I mix.
Only issue I have sometimes is the cut, but overall it always serves me a quality smoke.

Yeah, I love the price and not much else. It's absolutely the cheapest stuff at my local store... And it's alright. Way better than no shisha.

Maybe I'm not being fair, and I should give it another chance. When my friends were into smoking that stuff (they've moved on to Fumari now, which I like a lot more) I was sick.

I tried vanilla and it tasted like chemicals.
I tried fruits and it tasted like and old hookah.
Sweets made me sick also.

I do like orange cream, but they have some strong, nasty flavors also.

I also like mixing their vanilla with other flavors bc i can't taste the chemicals and AW usually packs a nice buzz

QUOTE (lightsareout @ Mar 2 2008, 10:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
we tried some al waha coconut this weekend it was decent.

i'm smoking some al waha cola right now, not bad at all; i'd buy it again

El Waha is the label made by the same company that produces El Nakhla, AFAIK. I've been told at various Arab grocers that they are basically the same. I'm not sure if this is the case with the coconut, but if they are even remotely similar, I'd say it's half-way decent. However, the flavor changed after having it for a week or two (even in a ziplock in the frig). It went from coconut-like to sour tasting and gross. The best coconut *by far* that I've had to-date is Taru; but I've forgotten the store in Manhattan where I bought it and have since been unable to locate it. (If anyone knows where to get it here please PM me!)

first of all...don't put it in the fridge...you'll ruin any shisha that way...I can just imagine the humidity shock now.
I've never heard that about those shishas, but its believable to an extent. If they are all from the same place, then they would have to be using different qualities and cuts of tobacco, because each one sure as hell is different.
Could be like the cheap cigarettes, they are just the tobacco that falls onto the floor, that ends up getting sweeped up and rolled up.

The strawberry is alright, you just have to blend it...heres mine...
20%Strawberry, 38%raspberry, 42%(really anything you want)California Dream...I use all kinds of variations, grape works really well.

But ya, thats one of my favorite smoking blends.
