Idea Time!

Recommended Posts

Don't know if anyone has thought of this yet but here it is.

So your browsing a garage sale or maybe the clearance isle at Wally World and you run across a cheap Lazy Susan or maybe a knock- off one. What could I use that for you ask? Well if you already have a Hookah and don't want to buy a rotator, then place your hookah on a freaking Lazy Suan. If you don't know what they are, they are those table top centerpeices that some people put condiments on and it spins.

Just and idea.

(I'm not to sure how to post a pic but here is a link)

Or just build one. Lowes has a how-to section online and they even sell the bearings. Not sure on the cost though. Edited by crisbeatz

It might work pretty well, but I'd be worried about pulling the hookah over. You couldn't just pull it by the hose like a normal rotator, you'd have to actually move the Lazy Susan.

At least I think you would. My rotator has a much larger base than my KM, and it's still heavier despite being much smaller.

Very true fish. So what if maybe there was a hook or something on the edge of the Lazy Susan to hold the hose that way when you pull the hose it rotates the Lazy Susan without pulling on the hookah. Also maybe carving an recess into the center of it to hold the Hookah or maybe Glueing a base to hole the whole thing in the center. These are just ideas so if anyone tries it, let us know how it works out.

I'd use a hookah with a low center of gravity....spinning the whole hookah sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Not to claim that im the first one ever to try that, but that idea did come to me soon after i started smoking hookah. BTW, it works great, there is no worries about tipping the hookah over when you pull by the hose. Of course, its always good to take that extra precaution. I highly recommend using a lazy susan(turn table, but not the dj kind) for your hookah, its alot safer than risking to pass the hose to a friend across from you.
