HookahDude831
My peach Ice Tea is acclimating right now, I did it step by step from rayvers tut. I was wondering some people use room temp water in the base with tangiers. I usually use ice and cold water with regular shisha.... so which one is it? and Should I not put Ice in the Ice bowl of my new KM if I dont put ice in the base? jfaltous
Read the new people FAQ I've had a lot better luck with tangiers with lukewarm water in the base... the advantage to ice is to condense the smoke and with tangiers there's no need for it and it results in overkill. As for using the ice bowl up top, that's meant to keep the stem and bowl from getting hot, so that should be fine (although, as always, not necessary). staygone
Acclimating shisha means that the tobacco is adjusting to the environment. Nicotine is highly sensitive to humidity. Tangiers is a shisha that you need to acclimate.Use whatever temperature of water you want. It doesn't really make that much of a difference.-QM

Canon
use warm/lukewarm water in the vase, overpack it, NEVER USE AN ICE BOWL, when tangiers starts smoking it starts smoking, so when that happens use less heat. its like driving kind of.. when you step on the gas you have to pull back a little to keep going 40 mph, you pull back too much and you go 35 or 30, you dont pull back enough and you go 45 or 50 (note 40mph is perfect smoke and 30 is thin and 50 is harsh)

Bulldog_916
Acclimation is allowing the shisha to equalize humidity with the environment you are smoking it in. That said, I've had better luck with lukewarm water getting more flavor and better smoke.

MechAnt
Warm is preferable with Tangiers because of its high nicotine content. Nicotine is water soluble but more so in warm water. It reduces the tickle that many people get from the nicotine. Also, Tangiers gets a more full flavor with warm water rather than cold water that dissolves less nicotine and kills the flavor a little. Mind you, this is with Tangiers exclusively.
RayVer
"when you step on the gas you have to pull back a little to keep going 40 mph, you pull back too much and you go 35 or 30"thats one of the best analogies I've seen for hookah heat management.
