mjdx88
Alright so I just read the faq...and read the post about acclimating Tangiers, my 2 questions are can you just do this an hour or so before smoking and do it little by little. Also I have been smoking cigars for some time...and well if you smoke you know most like me are anal about their humidity do I need control the humidity as well for shisha around 70-80%? Leaving your shisha outside for 4 hours, (which will be the only place i will be smoking) says to me the cigar smoker I would be destoying and drying out the tobacco. Thanks,Mike
Scoop
all youre doing when youre smoking is heating up tobacco to give off nicotine, heating up glycerin which carries the flavor and the nicotine (+ biproducts).you dont combust the tobacco, its still there after youre done, just dried up. the quality of the tobacco isn't coming through really, unless youre adding tons of heat. i think the acclimation is to not make the tobacco so sensitive to the heat?what did i just say, no clue if that makes any sense
Canon
with the new tangiers (the new cut) 1 hour is more then enough time before smoking it, 1 hour for the thicker cut tangiers maybe enough time.and shisha is covered in juice so leaving it out is fine. you dont need to control the humidity, but you do need to keep it sealed.
