yeshua_cxc
Hey guys,I have an old laptop that I use for taking to class, It's a Thinkpad R40e. A couple of weeks ago the backlight went out. I was able to find the part online for $10 bucks but I couldn't find that many useful instructions on how to install it. Could somebody send me in the right direction or provide instructions if you know how to replace it?
St. Goodypants
Here's a link to a PDF manual:ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/13n6183.pdfI did some quick looking through it, and it looks like it might not be too useful. From my experience with laptop LCDs, they're generally a serious pain even for a skilled technician to fix. can you put up an image of the part?
