-1 for the mac
+1 for the window

I just don't like macs, my sis has one and I got pissed off trying to figure it out, but then again, I was raised Windows

but ya, throw it through the window with a note, just make sure to take out any serial numbers and wipe your drive...so they cant track you tongue.gif

What program was used to find this error? It's possible that it's a piece of spyware trying to tell you to do stupid shit. If this is from a legit diagnostic, immediately back your stuff up.

arr...

There are some viruses that return that kind of error intentionally before they brutally sodomize your system.

Really sucks.

As long as you keep away from porn sites and free downloads you are just fine. All these people that have such issues keeping their computers clean piss me off. Mac is only an OS, most of the hardware is exactly the same as normal PCs save for a few proprietary bits. I'm not about to lay 2k down on a mediocre computer with a learning curve. No corporation worth its salt is ever going to adopt Macs server wide, especially when their clients are in the thousands.

That being said. Get a new hard drive. Buy GetDataBack for NTFS -OR- a copy of Norton Ghost. Backup your HD under Norton Ghost and save the Ghost file to a portable HD. Set your new HD up with XP or whatever you OS of choice is. Install Ghost. Open the Image files and get all your data. Reinstall all your programs. You should be ok.

Definitely, Mac is designed for the entry computer user...

I've used Windows all my life, and I'm a windows power user... So could I ever go to using a Mac all the time? Uh, no.

But yeah, Dells FTL. Majority of the computers I work on are Dells, they are cheap.
