How Often Should We Clean The Hookah?

Recommended Posts

Some say clean it after each use, some say clean it once a week. I was thinking don't we want a happy medium between keeping it dry and cleaning it which would cause moisture in the stem? Because if you wash it after each use isn't that more exposure to water than we want? Wouldn't once every 5-6 uses make more sense? I have been washing it after each use but you can only get the stem so dry.

What would you say?

1.) wash it after each use dry it as best as you can.
2.) wash every 5-6 uses

Thanks guys.

For the most part I try and just clean it after each use. But if im super tired after smoking or doing something I let it slide and clean it before my next use.

i clean mine after every time i use it. i really dont wanna have a dirty hookah or have the flavor of one shisha be mixed with another when i smoke it again.

Well, I often go a couple smokes without washing... but lately I like to wash it out every time. It just makes it more enjoyable, and it's not like it takes all that long just to run water through it and hit it with a brush

i clean out mine after every use. just make sure not to air dry the stem. there's no way anyone can blow out all of the water from the stem because the droplets stick to the side. After you clean it, straighten a clothes hanger and push a piece of paper towel down the stem...

Yeah I have these wooden sticks used for shishkabobs and i wrap a paper towel around it and put tape on both ends and then I push that up and down the stem.

When I took my first long break, from May last year until sometime July I believe...that whole time it didnt get cleaned and there was heavy use before thay, so it was baaaad.
I used boiling hot water and all my seals went. They were super glue seals appearantly dry.gif
I after the cleaning I tried different glues, nothing was working, finally ended up with JB Stick and haven't looked back

edit: I just make sure to clean after every session now because of what happened. Edited by r1v3th3ad
